I gave some shout-outs to my readers who I thought, might like to hear the recording!
I will include a few pictures and let the recording speak for itself… Thank you Sannie and

Wow! Karima, that was a great treat. I found myself for half an hour in Chelsea Hotel, undisturbed, to have a real feel how you recited your beautiful poems. Your deep magical voice coupled with your beautiful verses and background music had a mesmerising effect. Your selection of words and music was superb. You are a super performer indeed.

All poems recited by you are superb, whether it was about Ramadan or dreams or night bird. Poem on your father was heart-touching and quite relatable. Both poems on flowers won my heart- one dedicated to your son and the other not silent, really different.

Last, but not the least, a big ‘thank you’ for the shout out. This will always remain in my heart. Thanks again 😊💖💐🌷🙏

Oh my goodness, I was totally transported by the beautiful art pieces of you on the stage, both normal size and tiny as you were beside the vase of flowers, so wonderfully given by your son.

What an amazing experience this was for me. I went out on the porch where trees, and green vines come up the sides of the screen making it a nest of nature to listen to your beautiful reading. How lovely does not begin to describe the experience.

Nightbird – how beautiful every word, “peppering the leaves,” So many beautiful lines

April 18th – The day your father died, only twelve years old, when you began to write seriously. I was mesmerized by the incredibly beauty here. “I hover here – little bird too fragile” The love and feelings you have for your father was described in such a loving hopeful way, for you and for him.

The Lightness of Ramadan – “light like walking under water,” so many visuals and physical feelings in this peace, every line more beautiful than the one before it.

The Flowers from Your Son – so many lines but with this beautiful music in the background one is transported immediately into your world. Some of my favorite lines:
“Sleeping in their buds” – “Stood tall and proud in the freshly poured water” – “The clock ticked for them” – “Some were shy and took their time.” – “Kissed them with their eyes,”
The music was so perfect for this piece and you made them so alive in every way and then added that beautiful photograph of you small before them, how absolutely creative.

Only in Their Dreams – “There are some things the little song bird can never be,” I could see the entire poem in my mind as you described it as it was watching the other birds. You poem filled with such gorgeous and descriptive writing.

The Song “It Ain’t Easy” was perfect for the next piece – Some of my favorite lines were
“A verse that wants to be made,” – “When a poem is coming stop thinking,” – “These flowers shout out to the whole household,”

Last but certainly not least was the piece, “A Delicious Moment for a Haunting”
This was so splendid with the music by Chopin playing in the background- Everything about this piece was amazing. I love the way you talked about your visitor I found it mesmerizing.
“Your timing always the best,” – “sweetest bit of unreal air” so many lines so worth repeating but I was carried away.

I think the whole experience the beautiful shots by Sannie and Natascha are so surreal and how with the music every word weaved together to form this amazing poetic experience. Thank you so much for this, I can’t imagine the hours you spent picking music, timing your readings so they were right on time, your beautiful voice that is hypnotic and most of all the words of your poems themselves. Wow, Karima – thank you so much for sharing this amazing journey with us. Sorry for writing so much but I haven’t experienced anything quite like this before, so again, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Love, blessings and hugs, Joni

    • Wow Joni…your comment blew me away!! I savored it..I sat down like you did to listen, in a quiet place and I read your words. Thank you thank you for entering into my recording; your comments and your details showed me how immersed you were and this just blows me away!!! Isn’t the internet amazing??..for all the bad it seems to do there is some good that can be seen.I see that good in our WordPress Community of poets and writers. Your reflections, your memories and what stood out for you..are so important to me as a performing virtual poet..The fact that we can excite, inspire and encourage each other on, is one of the gran benefits I see in our community.
You are not even involved in the virtual worlds and yet, it seemed you retained more than many people who were there in the audience. Words don’t seem to be enough to try and tell you, how this comment affected me and how truly grateful I am for it too.
This is such an act of generosity..and please never apologize for your comments being too long….I was just reading them so amazed and I felt this comment, like a genuine act of giving..and caring, friendship… a loving gesture from one poet to another. Thank you Joni…You have helped me see my own poetry, through your eyes. This is priceless for me

Love and many Blessings every day of your life,
      Karima 🙏❤️🤗🌹🌟🦋

    • You honor me with your comment and just knowing you listened, makes me feel you were with me too:) I am glad you enjoyed my little production..I know it seems easy, but for me, it takes a lot of pre performance work, which is why I don’t do these as often as I used to.. Still..when I receive a comment like yours Gabriela.. and see I have connected with people here in our community and not just in the audience, it makes it all worthwhile…Thank you love, for showing me yours:)❤️❤️❤️🤗🌹🙏
