Our Next Movie
For Natascha my film partner
If I were a soaring bird.
with a true-blue heart,
I would fly across the Atlantic Ocean,
to Germany…all the way,
just to peck on your window
and make sure you were OK.
I would sit on your shoulder
if you let me in…
I would sing and warble
and brighten up your day
and I would whisper a secret
that if you just wait a bit more,
after way too much waiting,
everything will turn around
and you will be back;
you will be you, Natascha.
Once again you will walk
all around your block
Once again you will sleep
8 hours straight
You will stay up too late
just because you want to
Because…
we’re making movies again
and the muse is our mistress.
You will get on your bike
on a fall morning
and ride into those woods
you dream about…
Then after all the instructions,
and the treatments and therapy,
your heart beating easier,
with more confidence,
while recuperating,
getting stronger,
this little bird will invite you
to come back with her
and see her rainforest
and her rainy season
and more birds than you
could ever imagine.
We will cross over the boundary,
between….
Virtual and Atomic Reality
and I will be just me,
giving you, right there,
in the airport,
for the very first time…
a real hug,
with your arms and my arms
around each other.
I’m ready to make this movie;
You ready to shoot it?
Let’s do it!

She is only 40 yrs old and we have many more
movies to make….

Yes Nat and I have been so lucky to form a partnership in 2012 and we have grown and gotten better over the years:) You are right, this is a vulnerable poem, a very personal poem, but I feel safe in this supportive, talented, sensitive group of poets and writers. People like yourself, Ace, make me feel it is OK to share this moment and hopefully as you say, add a few more who will send high and healthy vibrations, Natascha;s way. Dear Nat, I am sorry for being a lousy friend. The whole situation is leaving me speechless. Please, just know that I think of you always. I just don’t want to pester you with questions that you don’t have an answer to. I don’t want to spoil your fun time with reminders of your everyday struggle. Thank you so much Kaushal for your perceptive comment..I am emotional and sensitive and all that:) so true, and yes my poetry reflects that,,,as does your own:) “difference between virtual and atomic reality. ” Nat and I have never met in (known as) Real Life..(Atomic Reality) only in The Virtual…we have not even had a voice call and yet we have collaborated together, effortlessly, since 2012 making our videos together.. It’s a big leap, but I know, one we both want to take..inshAllah if she feels better and is able to travel. As I said to Jeff, to be able to sit on a beach together and watch the macaws fly by..would be my biggest dream right now. ❤️🤗🙏🌹🦋🌴🌊

I am glad you have a positive feeling about everything. Maybe this time next year you two will be able to follow your dreams and continue working together on your incredible movies.
She is blessed to have such a lovely and talented friend. It is amazing how we can become so close to people on line or virtual. I have been blessed with meeting both amazingly talented men and some women that I consider to be dear friends. I know your next movie will be more amazing than the last. I so agree Joni…the virtual world has brought me men and women who have stayed best friends for a decade (actually in SecondLife, some 14 years) Someone once described SecondLife as “the prepschool for the afterlife” I feel the virtual does offer us a chance to relate, know, and work together, without being trapped in a body… It is very etheral to really know, even fall in love in this manner…I took feel this possible in WordPress..because unlike fb, we can make real exchanges, and all bloggers have something special, something to say besides just rotely checking a Like…We can and do make real connections here. Isn’t that wonderful?❤️🤗❣️🌟🌹🦋

You are so right. Like minds reading like minds. It is a lovely community filled with people that you worry about, pray for and truly love. I am always praying for my WordPress friends all over the world. In real life I would never have the opportunity to meet such talented people because so many live in different countries.
