Let It Grow

Let It Grow!

Through the leaves,
the grey sky is filtered
in the early morning light.
It could be a sad feeling,
if I were not so grateful to be alive.
The sky teases the earth below..
with signs that
it just might rain.
The day begins
with pungent flowers,
bird songs and haze…

When the wind begins to tickle,
the palm frond’s dip and wave.

Any day can be a day
when it rains love.

That is the beauty of
accepting what might come..
Any day a miracle
can open up your heart
Why not?
Are you so dead?
Are you so shuttered?

Did you make anything you see
outside your window?
Well… maybe a few flowers planted
came from your hands…
but what about the seeds?
The clouds and trees
have stood long before you…
Can you not feel that someone,
already loves you?

Love has planted its seed
when you were sleeping…
just like a child being formed
it doesn’t need
much help from you.
Whether it evolves or withers
will be told by time;
Sit in the garden ,
talk to the trees…
You do feel what’s coming.
The sun smiles upon you,
making you glow
no need to resist now…
Let it grow… Let it grow.

How beautiful dear Karima. I love the beautiful painting you chose. What a lovely piece about our gorgeous surroundings and the beauty of nature. I love how you question your reader in this piece too. There is so much beauty looking out the window and most of it we have nothing to do with, I love this. So true and so very beautifully put. Thank you for such a lovely piece to read. A gorgeous reminder of what we have to look forward too. Love you, Joni ❤️🤗🦋🥰

    • Dear Joni, I wasn’t feeling 100% lat night, so I waited today to reply to your beautiful comment. Isn’t that painting perfect?..so funny..I wrote in Google..”Painting of a seed growing in a womb” and there really were very few hits but this one popped out and I said Yes!! Ahh yes the beauty and the power and the love of Nature..is something I write a lot about, because..well I live in a wonderful country where Nature abounds all year round in bright colors, pungent odors and sounds. Oh yes..we sometimes Take it all for granted or worse yet, fail to see what surrounds us.. I too have been at fault , so I know:) Yes..at any time we can be gifted the most unexpected gift and love comes in so many packages..
Big hugs and so glad you loved this one..I feel your glow:) Love and best thoughts, Karima

Oh, Karima, I’m misty-eyes, and in complete love with this poem. “ Any day can be a day
    when it rains love.
    That is the beauty of
accepting what might come..” That’s so beautiful. And, this, “ The clouds and trees
    have stood long before you…
Can you not feel that someone,
already loves you?” I’ll sit with this poem for some time, and just let your words wash over my soul. They are divine. This is a masterpiece. Happy weekend, my dearest friend. 🌻🌹🙏❤️✨🦋

I simply love this writing of yours…this line is pure magic…”It could be a sad feeling, if I were not so grateful to be alive.”…then those questions…this is pure wisdom of yours…I feel it’s the dance of…dark with light…unknown with known…the different “seasons” in one day…love is there…it’s all about how we see & perceive the so called reality…accepting, surrendering & embracing the moments…the present…with no control whatsoever…if it’s destined, then it is destined…”but what about the seeds”…”Love has planted its seed when you were sleeping”…Karima, you’re an amazing writer…you’re not just telling a story…you’ve presented in a very artistic way…this piece is shining with your knowing…how you see humans, nature & love…the interconnectivity 🌟

    • Smiling..Dear Navin..I am spinning now…:) Thank you for saying that you love this writing, this enigmatic dance of dark and light, and you of all people, know this dance better than most..I see that in your own poetry. I also see your wisdom and your quiet surrender to the beat of the universe that gives us a very special strength..It seems almost contradictory that surrendering brings strength..but of course, it;s a special surrender, the kind that let’s The Writer write our story..while we remain calm and hopeful There are very special parts for us coming up..we can’t even put a name to the characters, but if we allow Life to act, if we truly embrace that, ahhhh such scenes we will play.such unexpected and unimaginable connections can come our way. The seed was planted while we slept…all we need to do is…let it grow…let it grow.. and we can’t separate humans, from Nature or from love..I truly believe that our Writer would not be so foolish to try:) Thank you my new friend..Your insight and talent for expressing yourself so well…so clearly…really amazes me.. I feel honored, every time you visit my page:)🙏
