Re-entry

Disintegration:Integration                                     “Disintegration/Integration” _Acrylic_ by Jan Betts

At the moment of our re-entry, it is not rare to feel fear.
We have seen countless like ourselves descend before us.
A random tick-tock moves our hour to the top of the clock
When it chimes, we are next in line…and we begin to fall.

For us, our human form is comfortable and comforting.
It has housed our souls a lifetime, our dreams, our memories.
Hard to conceive losing it now at this final call on the final hour;
Resistance disquiets our heart, as we struggle to let go.

Faith tells us our light does not extinguish, even at the very end.
Our souls integrating into the greater truth, as we die; we expand.
And just before our touch down into Death’s fathomless blue,
We surrender with joy to return and form part again… of Everything.

    • Thank you J. I am so glad you think so.. There is always a great responsibility I feel when writing, inspired by someone;s Art… What if they don’t like how I saw it? Luckily, Jan did..she sent me a message:
“Wow… Beautiful! You captured what we struggled to articulate. ..and your MUSE took over!
      I am honored
      Thank you, gratitude abounds.”
So thank you dear J.for seeing this as the creative synergy…I hoped it would be🤗❤️🌼🎈🦋

Beautiful and profound; you see depths in everything, and are so good at sharing what you see, with your words.

    • Thank you so much Dale… As you know I have been in love with this painting since Jan first started on it…I watched it develop, I meditated on it in stages and then.. with the finished signed painting, Jam struggled to find the right title..for two days we tossed ideas back and forth, and her title she came up with..I think is perfect. In the same vein, my muse just took a slightly different angle.. and this poem poured out..I am so glad you loved it…and glad that Jan did too:)

This is such a glorious write, Karima. It is a mediation to me of the pain and suffering that exists in these human forms, and yet, also of the understanding and knowledge that we are much more than these forms. Pain and liberation as possible. The painting is exquisite too. 🌹🦋🤗❤️

Such a profound poem you’ve written, dear Karima…raw truth presented in this poetic form…pain & suffering are there in this human form…but we’re much more than that…”We surrender with joy to return and form part again… of Everything”…only you can write such a beautiful poem from the light of your eyes…the imagery is so deep, tender & it carries peace…it’s a journey to eternity…the beautiful blend of your lines & Jan’s acrylic art…You’re an amazing writer, Karima ✨❤️💫

    • Ohh Navin, I am just seeing your beautiful comment! The painting hit me right away on such a profound level..In order to do it justice, I knew I had to go a little deep:) Thank you, for telling me you could see that depth. that you felt that transcendent journey in my words.. The painting, needs no words, but I am honored that Jan, the artist, loved the words too:):) You make me a better poet, with your intuitive readings of my poems:):) Thank you always, dear Navin.

  10. Such a mysterious concept this is Karima. Birth and Death. Has kept us all wondering, fearing, anticipating since the beginning of time. I just hope we all do expand after death, merge in some greater truth. That life does really have some purpose, if only of experiencing whatever comes our way. Hope you’re rocking…:))…. as usual.
