This is a guest post I was invited to write for da_AL on her wonderful blog, Happiness Between Tails. Her blog is amazing covering many topics and especially all things animal. I wrote and recorded this poem, especially for her blog. Comments here and there and everywhere, very appreciated. If it is hard for you to access the link to hear my spoken word, I will include it here, but do go and check out her whole post and her blog in general!

Today’s guest Karima Hoisan, writes and records her poetry from Costa Rica, where she lives among four dogs and three cats. Costa Rica is especially close to my heart. For one thing, it did away with their military and uses the funds on education and healthcare.

love this Karima and congratulations for your feature on da-Al’s blog. I can so relate to this and these sweetest creatures. When I was gone my sweeet one stayed out 3 nights and she did’nt come home the next night I arrived and was up all night searching. Finally the next day there she was and she hasn’t left my side since. how they have such a grip on our hearts I’ll never know! 😘

Aww thank you so much and yes I was surprised and delighted when da-Al invited me to do a post. Ohh what would we be without our kitties? I can only imagine how frantic you were, to return and find her gone. That’s one of my biggest nightmare scenarios. You said it perfectly…they have a grip on our hearts..I will use that (quoting you of course Cindy) hehe Gotta love our kitty cats ❤️🐈❤️
