An Eternal Loop of Pain

Artist Kasım Tan completed a drawing action in Üsküdar, Istanbul,
which took more than a month to complete, in protest against Israel’s attacks on Gaza…

To the music of Savfk …  My recording

Loop of Pain
An eternal loop of pain
An eternal loop of suffering’
There is enough power in our world
to stop it..right now, before one more innocent
is shot in the head while waiting for water
one more child is starved systematically to  her death.

What has happened to our humanity?
It seems too easy to look away
and forget to see…
to just disconnect because it is
too hard to see and feel there is
no way out of this…z
eternal loop of pain this
eternal loop of suffering.

Every fiber in our being
should cry out in unison
this can not be!!  This must end
and  now!
No more civilians shot down for
target practice
for another notch
on the belt.
I join my voice to all who are not afraid
to say it out loud
I will not stay silent, a mute accomplice
to this continuing endless
loop of pain
to this continuing endless
loop of suffering

I’m crying it  out loud….
and I’m crying

  3. Your words are hypnotic, real, honest and I feel the pain in your voice with strength, power and conviction, Karima. My heart holds mine, yours, the children, our world but I am not that strong. I am week, I am feeble, I am one person trying to stand in this bloody mess where even one human existence matters when they think they don’t and they think they are being massacred by the world when it’s their own mind gone mad. I can’t help but wonder it that is happening on a cosmic level where people are so lost, in so much pain, and gone mad trying to make sense in a world where there is nothing to understand and they stand lost and confused, standing in line for their next meal. Sending love and hugs 🤗

    • Ohhh Cindy hugs you…you are not weak….we all on this planet have been hit with so much, on so many levels…that I too feel it’s cosmic and if we are being observed… oh my we are failing!! Yes it’s so easy to lose our minds in the middle of this insanity…one unjust decision, action, after another. Thank you Cindy for this feedback straight from your beautuful heart…Ahhh if those in power were like you…all this would be over yesterday. 🤗❤️☮️

      • Thank you so very much for your faith in me and in our world. It’s sad we are so confused and separated when we all want the same things in actuality. You’re so very welcome and you get all the cred for your amazing work. Lot’s of love always!

  6. I think humans are very fragile now and worried one more horrible thing (like an endless genocide) could put them over the edge..It’s a self protection method at the cost of speaking out. This is a wonderful opnion artcle about concrete steps that could be taken…It Is possible to stop it!! but it would take the whole world to act in solidarity! https://www.aljazeera.com/opinions/2025/9/4/how-to-stop-israel-from-starving-gaza

I’m sick to the core of all the empty promises made since WWII. Rwanda? Palestine? We are a nation of lip service and double talk, devoid of justice.

  8. I’m sorry about what’s happening in the Middle East. It’s horrible to witness. But as long as hate flourishes there, there is no solution. The two sides have to agree that human life is more important than religion or ideology. And I just don’t see that happening. Death is the inevitable result of hate. We are experiencing that here in America.
