A Reblog of “Her Name Was Noor” from 2011

I wrote this poem in 2011 and Natascha Randt, who had not formally met me yet, came to my reading and recorded it. The quality of the film is very low resolution, but I think the audio is fine.
The poem was inspired by the last image, “Sniper” by Sigfred Rodenberger
I always had a very hard time reading this one in public.

Beautiful and moving and tragic. So sad that this poem is … always relevant.

    • It seems like that… always relevant is a sad wake up call for humanity. Sorry about the errant p in the blog. They wouldn’t let me correct it. Thank you for watching it way back when too.
