I wasn’t sure what to paste in, per our comment exchange on the initial post. But, enjoying catching up on the recording, after I missed the original premiere! Thanks for the update! (I can’t get onto Second Life, because my computer is too archaic for the program!)

    • Yes, going into Second Life can be challenging. This is why I decided to stream my readings so at least you can hear them…So glad you are enjoying the ones you missed. Thank you so much for listening 🤗

This was a beautiful musical hour after about one year. All the poems combined with your magical voice and matching tunes created a mesmerising effect. Really enjoyed it. Tribute to Nat was really touching. It had to be. And thank you for the shout-out.

    • Wow Kaushal..sorry I just saw your comment…I am usually not so remiss and I just love it.. The fact you even listened and then left your beautiful words, means so much to me. If I could capture your attention and create a “mesmerizing effect” then I feel so happy to know you took the time to hear it. Thank you for being so wonderfully supportive.. 🙏🌹🦋

    Dear Karima,

finally I found the time to listen to this recording of your wonderful reading. What a beautiful treat to the ears, heart and imagination! Outside my windows the sun is setting and the heat of a summer day is waning, creating just the perfect stage for your performance. Mesmerizing, really! Thank you so much for recording this so I did not have to miss out ❤

  14. Had an absolutely amazing time listening to it Karima. Transported to a fairy land of sorts with all that music and your voice, playing in perfect sync. I remember the one about your mother driving to Costa Rica from our conversation. It sounded even better today. The second dedication to Natasha brought tears to my eyes. And there were so many moments when I was swaying, humming, wondering at the phrases, the music and the brains behind creating and bringing them together. It was a mood Karima the whole thing, the very best of it. Thanks for sharing. Keep inspired.

    • Thank you my dear friend to the far west of me:) Thank you for listening to my reading Sundaram, I love how you allow yourself to fall into the feeling, the stream of a live virtual reading..where music is as important as the poetry itself..but it weaves and combines into one experience. Thank you for this wonderful feedback and yes..the 2nd poem of Nat’s is very hard for me to do, My first time live, but in her honor, I could do it. Thank you Sundaram, so far away and yet so connected to these readings. It’s my honor and privilege to know you that you listened and allowed yourself to be carried on the mood 🙏

    • Thank you so much, so glad you enjoyed the pictures..Funny, I have been in Second Life for going on 15 years..I never think of it as a game (no point to it really..just like Life) but as an alternative world. I don’t know of imvu.Is this a newer virtual platform?

IMVU platform is the first avatar online social network game, second life came after it a few years later in 2009 i believe. I do role-playing alot on imvu. Try googling IMVU platform just for fun.

      • No problem, and yes IMVU is more popular as it is easier to navigate, ( I read) but I am a builder and love building, so I am in SL and also Opensim too to be able to create using prim manipulation and mesh:) This was a nice exchange..thank you for starting it:)

KARIMA, KARIMA, KARIMA ! I listened to your poetry reading. All 55::18 ! How do I put it into words ? Your voice and your talent touched my heart and soul as words rarely have touched me before. YOU KINDRED SPRIT ! I AM PROUD TO CALL YOU MY FRIEND !
EVEN MORE ! You are my ” Sister in Spirit ! You called out my name !! I am flattered and humbled. Perhaps when the stars align, our paths will cross. “SOMEDAY”. Perhaps we can look into each others eyes and recognize each other from a YESTERDAY long ago.
To return your gift, this simple poem is for you,
No need to see you when I hear your voice,
Your song whispers to my spirit,
Your voice is calm, clear and true,
    a serendipity, a pleasure, a joy,
a true lady reciting poetry in the wilderness,
a seeker, an old soul, a new friend
