Most of you who read my blog know who Dale Innis is. He has been a friend and collaborator with me for almost 13 years in virtual worlds. He has been in most of the movies I made with Natascha, is a master scripter (coder) and makes us avatars move. We have built more than 12 virtual worlds together, worked on my live poetry readings and too many other projects to even list.
We have, for some reason, never decided to meet in real life (most people in the virtual don’t by the way) but this year…IT”S DIFFERENT!! I am going to throw a great birthday party….
with Mariachis 🎉🎂🎈💃🏻🎸 for Dale Saturday Sept. 23’rd (his birthday is the 22nd) in Costa Rica and Dale will make like a jet setter and spend a whirlwind 3 days with us in my home.

Before The Afternoon Rains
For Dale Innis
Before the afternoon brings the rains
We will soak up the blue sky, the giggling birds
marveling at each shade of perfect green,
The luck we made to be together in this scene
A whirlwind through a weekend
We are both crazy and we know it..
No skyscrapers here, just mountains and the sea
No avatars, we are the real deal you and me.
Could this change anything as we know it?
Of course it will change everything and nothing
We are just the same souls we’ve always been
changing our perfect avatars for imperfect skin.
Am I excited? Well that goes beyond saying…
After 12 years of working together, we finally meet
And one afternoon, InshAllah we’ll sit on the sand
While the sun sets into the water, and finally hold hands
Before the afternoon brings the rains
We will soak up the blue sky, the giggling birds
marveling at each shade of perfect green,
The luck we made to be together in this scene

Thank you Dale for accepting our invitation.. I am so excited and who knows what crazy new projects and collaborations will come from this… but I know having you in our home, talking and just being here is going to be an amazing experience…and I can barely wait:):) I feel like a kid..waiting for the biggest gift and Alhamdulillah it truly is a gift that we have been given I am so grateful…and counting the days!!! WOOOOOOTS!!

Thank you dearest soulkin..I think it was about time we creative virtual partners, took a few days out to connect in the real… It just seemed like it was time:) and yes I feel the energies around this “tornado trip” and I am having a hard time keeping my feet on the ground 🦋🌈🎈🌟

Thank you Cassa it really is… I need to explain we are not long distance lovers but just long distance best friends and creative collaborators…I think for this reason..it will just be so easy to meet… Romance sometimes adds a layer of expectation that luckily we do not have:):) We only expect we are going to have fun!!

Wow, that sounds so romantic, and I can’t imagine if this will be the perfect romantic comedy with the perfect ending or the meeting of the soul mates. May the giggling birds be green with envy to watch an escapee from a skyscraper, so structured and unclothed, to see an amorphous mountain covered in wonder, to be perfect imperfect with rain and giggles but with blue skies of heaven’s promises perhaps with luck and sands of time.

This is so much fun that you and Dale are going to meet live. What a fun special birthday celebration this will be! I can’t wait to see what you create in this very cool scene! Love the anticipation of meeting you and I think we should all come for the virtual party of course! You two are both so cute and I love your endearment of each other. 💗

I know Cindy!!! It’s crazy.. right? We decided before we died we should just be a few days in the same real- life scene and really it is a “flash” but hopefully fabulous trip! Oh yes..this party I promise to share pictures because as you say…it Is pretty special, we finally decided to do this:) My son is driving me to the airport and it’s like almost a 4 hour trip over the highest point on the Pan American highway..10,961 ft, pick him up at 10pm and drive immediately back home over 4 hours of winding mountain roads..We will get home about 2am (on his birthday) but we will let him de-jet lag ( and me car-lag:) that day and celebrate it the next day and Sunday…we drive him back to catch the red eye at 11pm to New York,,Woooooo!! Luckily Julian is a great experienced driver and has volunteered. Wish us luck!!

Yes..it starts to feel like a real gift of the highest kind. We are so excited…like school kids counting down the days… I do believe we know each other well after 12 years..but that weekend, will be the frosting on the cake:):) Thank you so much Layla for commenting:)

Ohhhh I am sooo excited!! The situation is unique…we have been two overlapping consciousness, creative partners for so many years…and now to transport this to what we call “The Atomic World” not the virtual.
