This video, “The Turquoise & Green Dream  is the 5th installment of The Colored Dreams Series,  a narrated storybook format of an illustrated story I wrote back in 2011 and published on my blog. The inspiration for this story came from my impressions and fascination with DB Bailey’s sim Locus in SL,  an amazing surreal entire world of color, surprises and beauty. This breathtaking sim is now lost to us forever, but a few images you will see in this story were taken there, by me and by DB himself.

I am eternally grateful to him for the encouragement and influence to write this story. The Colored Dreams Series will be 6 separate YouTubes.  The Turquoise & Green Dream is the fifth video.
The Red Room was the first and can be watched here Click

The Ship of White Dreams was the 2nd and can be seen here Click:
The Candy-Apple Red & Blue Dream was the 3rd and can be seen here: Click
The Deco-Pink & Bronze Dream was the 4th and can be seen here: Click

I am also very grateful to Dale Innis, for making it possible to re -write this story in a different way. His AI Art images, so beautiful and intriguing, go so well with the originals. Dale also made all the slides you see. This movie he also used Chatgpt Dall-E
Thank you Dale for your eye for beauty and symmetry and your gift of collaboration.

The music is by Clint Mansell, who, although has the copyright, allows it to be used here on YouTube, I used various of his songs and they are listed on YouTube. I have used a lot of his music, in the past chapter and this one is no exception:) Big thanks to Clint Mansell for his generosity for small content creators.
In some areas (like mine in Latin America) the video will not play on WordPress. Please watch it
directly on YouTube fullscreen and in 4K.. and let us know what you thought. Likes and Comments on my YouTube Channel always welcome:)
Are you interested in Chapter 6? We Hope so:) It is the end of our story…. the final chapter so stay tuned:)
Dale & I now present The Turquoise & Green Dream….. Let us transport you:)

You put such emotion and feeling into your narration of this chapter (and it’s an amazing chapter!); the music is perfect also. I’m yet again delighted to have been able to work with you on re-presenting this chapter of your story. Thank you!

    • Thank you Dale..thank you for your hard work and your encouragement too. Yes, this Chapter was a difficult narration as it does call for some “acting” now and then. I guess I must be a Method Actor because I totally relate to her, and feel her pain, her confusion, her destiny. Thank you so much for turning my photos and words and sometimes your photos into these beautiful slides. I really love this format…when the 6th Chapter has been completed…I might like to start a new series, written by us both simultaneously:) What fun!!!

    • Thank you so much Maggie, your comment is inspiring for me, because I was just a bit worried that the length of 12 minutes might keep people from watching it. I am glad that didn’t keep you away. The virtual world where I made these photograps so many years ago (2011) totally took my breath away. I’m glad you still found them amazing today!! So Stay Tuned…next week is the last chapter of The Colored Dreams:):) ❤️🤗🙏🌹

I watched the video on the TV instead of YouTube to get the most out of the 3D-like effects and all the colors. First, Karima and Dale, I want to thank you and all the others who made these dreams come true. What a beautiful job you did. Dale, I love the mixture of the colors and the sets you drew for this dream. You really have to stop and look at each environment to enjoy all the scenery, which is so creative.

The Turquoise & Green Dream by Karima Hoisan & Dale

I like the images of the glasses at the beginning of this episode, and I can feel and sense her deep sadness that she has broken the carrier of the fluid of one of her dreams. Quickly, the dream moves on, and she is on a creature moving through the air, and the creature moves as if it is a part of her. The creature morphs based on her needs.

Now barefoot, unable to remember where her shoes are, she hears “his” voice, and as she climbs many staircases as told by “him,” she finds herself confused, and she feels sadness as the coins on the dress jingle with her steps. The colors in this world seem to bring nostalgia that is too late to remember – that too seems painful.

Again, she questions “him” when told to fly, he holds her arms with his but she doesn’t feel safe and begins to fall. She senses betrayal, but “he” is with her and tells her that her skirt is a parachute, and she begins to slowly descend like a seed circling. She feels deceived and knows she will fall into the cold lake below her.

She feels joyful and loved for the one who talks to her and feels she should trust in “him” by now but is aware that she still has doubts. This reminds me and speaks to my heart in the way that I know without any question that not only does God exist but that he has always been with me, loved me, and taken care of me. Yet I do not doubt that he exists, but I get mad and question why God does and puts me through so many challenges that he does. “He” encourages her to pray and tells her someone wants to talk to her. That person is behind a glass partition made of beautiful colors, and she can’t get to her even though she knows her by name and calls her “Karima.” She feels that she needs her but she not only doesn’t recognize her but she is getting despondent because she senses that she needs her and she can’t help her.

My husband thinks she sees herself behind the glass but I am not sure yet. When she begs to be taken away, although she is in a beautiful environment, a long brown limb like that of a tree begins to grow and has wings, and she knows she is going home.

Taken to a land of death, those that will never “resurrect” makes her extremely sad, and she begs to be taken out of their current place. I love some of the images I see in this scene. I love what looks like a tree with a woman’s head and a long neck sticking out of a large shell.

The flying limb continued to take her away and higher when his voice spoke in her ear to tell her there would only be one more journey. She is still feeling the deep grief of this trip.

She is filled with sorry and a sense of failure about how “he” must feel about her lack of trust, and after two years, she is still overwhelmed with guilt, sorry, a sense of loss, and also that somehow she has betrayed him, with her lack of trust. “He” speaks but to tell her that she has done very well and that she will get a reward, and “he” knows exactly where her last journey will be. But “he” tells her to please trust him. The return to the room is quick, and the creature she is on is more like the dragonfly than the large tree limb with wings. She starts to ask “him” questions, and he tells her to be patient.

Thanks for the lovely detailed comment! I can’t take credit for the overall colors and sets; that is all DB’s Locus sim, and Karima’s photography. I did the glasses and helped with some other imagery, mostly in an attempt to get the AI to imagine something appropriate based on the beauty of that pre-existing work. Which was sometimes a struggle! 🙂 Glad you enjoyed the result.

Dear Dale, you are very modest, like Karima. She tells me about all the work you do and have done over the years with all these beautiful works. She always talks about your talent and how long you have worked with her. Your visit was a blessing, I can’t imagine what it must have been like to finally meet. Klara is one of my favorites and Karima has given you so much credit for that beautiful work. I think that that piece should be entered into some kind of major competition and I am so excited to see the ending to this piece. They are so appreciated by me because of just the scale of work that is involved but how well you all worked to put it together. Blessings to you my friend. Sending you hugs and blessings, Joni

    • Wow!! As I said on YouTube, your careful study of our video just blew me away:)
Wow Joni, reading your words was like seeing the chapter in my mind…you have captured it all so well..and I am glad you chose to see it on your TV..That’s wonderful! I think I will let Dale answer if he’d like about the scenes of this chapter but for me I am thrilled that you both got so much out of it and I think Scott’s idea of who was behind the glass was very interesting. I can;t wait to see and read your feelings and perceptions on the last Dream, The Orange Dream. Thank you so much Joni, for taking out your time, to not only watch these relatively long chapters but to write down all your impressions, your observation. I treasure your comments…Hugs
And…yes you’re right, Dale is very modest. He puts my pictures on each slide (or his pictures) and edits and lines up the dialog on each slide too.
Klara was almost all his…his story, pictures and slides.. I just added my narration, found some music and put it together in my imovie program:)
In the end (much like Natascha & I were) we are a team!!:)

  9. What an amazing experience in your video with vivid color, music and of course your voice which enhances the beautiful work you and Dale created. The voyage, scenes, the transcendence, lessons in love and dreams with the powerful exlizer. Is this … was this a dream or a take on MDMA or other psychotropic medications? The deep dive and trust were powerful adjuncts to create a bonding and synergy as the wonderful lark winged creature takes you to new heights and cradles you in his wings of protection. Wonderfully done, my frined❤️❣️🙏🏼💙💙💙
