Hi everyone,
well here is another small video from me (4mins) born from some music I was composing. When I was writing it..I heard “stars” and I heard “nostalgia” hence the name.
I will put the narration here below after the YouTube.
I used my photos that still exist from the 70’s (many you have seen here) and I hope you will enjoy the overall look and feel of the film. Let me know:) Likes on YouTube are very treasured too:) Please watch in 4K and Fullscreen:)
Narration:
I need a night a desert night
so that the countless stars
may twinkle & shine
I need a couch
a cosmic couch
to travel me thruough time….
and I need a place
a desert place
so quiet and still for me
to remember
a special moment in my life.
The stage is set
I take my place
and await my own
personal planetary showing.
I lay back in my cosmic couch
transported easily outside
of myself.
Almost anesthetized by the
still night air,,the stars
now humming in my mind
Bring them on..those
images from the past.
they live in a cluster
a constellation of proof
of how we lived that magic moment…
and early on we realized
we could be…
whoever we chose to be
Looking back
ahh the people were our stars
how we shined together in brilliant groups.
Some stood out and to this day
we rotate around each other..
Walking the dogs,
walking the baby
becoming iconic,,
without even knowing..
making history.
They’d write about us all some day
Families started,
lessons learned & forgotten
Music and politics ,
Life was our passion
and we lived full throttle….
but we always had
the midnight trail
above the Hollywood sign
to ride our horses
and lose ourselves on.

I can’t express how much that meant to me Dons…I wish I could have shared it with Larry. So soulful and oh! the memories we share!!! I love you and miss you so much.

Aiiiy Toni, this silly WordPress ate my first comment to you…I was saying., that I feel the same, even me the wordy one, has problems finding the right one to describe you, us, in those times. I have made several attempts on this blog to find the words to say how lucky I feel to have known you and been that iconic Dons to your Tones. If I would have had 100 pictures of us…I would have put them all in..How precious…every day we lived and laughed and loved. I miss you soo too…Maybe Life is cooking up a surprise reunion for us both…I sure hope so. Love you forever Tones, your Dons

Thank you Kaushal for watching it and so glad you enjoyed those lines. I have so few pictures that have survived from the 70’s . The ones you saw in the video are the last ones to make it more than 50 years!!

Such a lovely little piece of nostalgia! And you have so many memories to look back on. The images and narration and music are all perfect for the mood. I need to lie back and look at the stars from a cosmic couch more often myself…

I do have so many memories, Dale, it’s true…I just wish I had the pictures to go with it..Pictures help focus are memories…no doubt about that:) I am pleased you liked the narration/free verse and my music..which, as you know, birthed the whole project. Thanks too for your comment on my YouTube channel:)
