Bonny Brave of the Belavar del Mar
This is Part 2 of A Pirate Story. Part 1 can be found here: • A Pirate Story by Karima Hoisan
I am a Pirate..such a pirate that I even plundered my own music and refurbished a poem to make this video. Those who read me regularly might say, “hmmm this music sounds familiar”I did protest a bit, but in the end, my muse (as always) made me do it this way. Why?…well I hope you agree it just fits so well with the visuals and the ongoing Pirate Story. Please watch in 4K and turn up the sound.. I was proud of this track when I wrote it on Garage Band when it was just for the poem, now I think it has finally come into its own. I hope you agree. Thank you to Belavar Planiie, whose ship he gifted me is the Belavar del Mar (Castle of the Sea) Bonny Brave’s 1st ship. Enjoy and let me know.. YouTube Likes and comments are coveted:) and love to reply to comments here too:)
Here is the Poem:)
It’s a humid balmy dawn after that last late night rain…
the vapor rises from the moorings; it’s now way past dawn.
Tropical but mystical..it really does go hand in hand,
like you and I on the Believer del Mar
tropical but mystical, the reflection of the sun on our face.
My hand slides up and down your skin, so smooth your marble arms
unconsciously; there’s crazy changes in my heart.
Let me sail with you, you are the beauty, Bonny Brave, you are my future pain.
I saw you in the past and now you’re here, but someday you will be gone.
Through all of this, the insects keeping rhythm with their feet…
this entire scene, will trill away, like a dream once dreamed.
You proved to me when all the elements are in place,
they can cause an event that will rock a world and bring it down
Before today, it was just a theory; now it’s way too late to deny.
The birds flap on high, my heart almost stops when I see you smile.
But no, this is not the ending.. I do not accept we are being ripped apart
and I will shout it to the last star, dying on the morning sky,
“No, this is not the ending!” I do not accept we are being ripped apart.
My heart knows the truth I’m going to lose you, one of these dawns.
You will kiss me goodbye and promise to never disappear then take your last breath
like the waning night sky being eaten by the encroaching day.
I know I have this in store; it’s something that I’m waiting for.
I can see the future and in it…I stand alone.

I love the complex interplay between the different parts of the story, the different poems and music, the remixing. Your muse is always coming up with new things!

A tropical balmy night for sure with your cute little smiles enticing. Lots of beauty and truths in your lines.
🙌🏽❤️
Especially this last stanza “My heart knows the truth I’m going to lose you, one of these dawns.
You will kiss me goodbye and promise to never disappear then take your last breath
like the waning night sky being eaten by the encroaching day.
I know I have this in store; it’s something that I’m waiting for.
I can see the future and in it…I stand alone.”

Thanks so much Cindy…and I am glad you liked those lines… yes..they do ring true. I plundered my own poem posted here “My Future Pain” and refurbished it for my story.. honestly the poem never had a movie or the music..now they:) Hopefully more can enjoy their face lift with pretty visuals:):)

This is a bit different from the Part 1, but love the continuity, and especially…I can see the future… A beautiful creation, as always. Well done, Karima:)

Thank you Kaushal for watching this part 2 that in some ways is a prequel when they were happy and healthy pre-Corona virus.. sailing on Bonny Brave’s first ship. Belavar de Mar…but she has a glimpse of the future and protests for having to lose her like that. It has a very different brighter look, not like the somber colors of part 1. Thank you for leaving me your impressions.
