Happy to announce that my 20th virtual world on Kitely – Virtual Worlds on Demand,
The Wizard is open to receive visitors… For those of my WordPress readers, who think they would take the leap, and get an avatar and visit:) just tell me in a comment, and I will send you instructions on how to do that. You need a fast computer and sorry, but smartphones can not yet enter virtual worlds.
I have described this world as
” a bit of Fantasy, of Goth, of Disney, and of Monty Python on Mushrooms:):)
It’s a wild ride that starts off on horseback and then……… Anything can happen!!

Dale Innis and myself in the photo above have created 12 worlds together..
Dale, who is an out-of-the-box scripter (Really!!) and I created The Wizard, this time,
with the help of Kurk Mumfuzz, who makes particles in Second Life. He agreed to make some particles for us, that we use through- out the journey and also in a particle-media textured Finale..that I made and choreographed!

So that’s how I met the wizard last night.
On the SIM / world The Wizard in Kitely.
The Wizard is the twentieth world that Karima has created in Kitely.
Together with Dale Innis.
Two months ago to the day Karima and Dale started making The Wizard a reality.
What the two have created is sensational, even overwhelming.
An automated tour de force of fantasy.
About thirty minutes it goes on horseback through crazy and wild and fantastic scenes, into abysses beyond the imagination and with a climax that is second to none.
I’m still totally flashed. For real!

Thank you Nat for your great comment and for taking the maiden voyage last night with me:) Made it extra special to share it with you:) You have been on all 20 of my worlds too and one..Film Sets we have worked on together..making greenies for our movies:) I recommend seeing Nat’s pictures on her site and if you speak or want to practice German, you can read her comment in the original.. karima came to a particle show i was doing with my friend, venus adored in second life, and asked me to join her and dale in kitely to discuss this project… i am probably more of an engineer than a creator and have to admit that, looking out over the early version of the sim, i had almost no idea about what i should do… *laughs* but working with karima and dale has been a good experience… both have wonderful imaginations, karima in her creation of story and arrangement of objects to make the story live and dale in his ability to create the dynamics and script the locomotion from karima’s imagination…
the result is worthy of a visit or two… or five… 🙂

Thank you so much Kurk..and all I can say is, I am sure glad I went to see your particle show that day..:) It started the wheels humming for my 20th world!!..I love that this was a true collaboration of independent talents..that in the end did what they knew how to do best and pulled off a magical world experience..which is what I know, I had hoped for, from the beginning. I’m sure it might have seemed in the beginning..we had no idea how this world would take shape..and in some respects you were right..These worlds sort of take over and it is a development that is very much organic and intuitive…then that moment looking at it all and saying…Yes…it is good…:) is the most wonderful feeling in the world..I think we three felt that..the first time we took the Dress reherasal trip the night before opening.. It was an honor and a pleasure to work with you Kurk…and hopefully some new ideas will start to churn about..”what else could we all do??”

Just to add my voice to Karima’s 🙂 the sim is open and receiving visitors! And you should definitely stop by. It’s a wild ride indeed, driven by I think the most elaborate system of scripts I’ve ever written, but originating in Karima’s ideas, wherever she gets them from.
For any fellow geeks out there 🙂 I was seriously thinking of setting up a bug tracker, a version control system, and a deployment process by the time it was done. I hope you enjoy it. And if anyone wants to talk about the code behind the magic, hmu.

Oh Dale…well none of this would exist without you..it might exist but it would never move so smoothly from one scene to the next. It would never move at all!! I think you might have scripted the first automated Particle Show on Opensim ever conceived..Thank you my brilliant creative partner…High 5’s you on the results and all your hard work and dediction to pull it off too! You made the Magic Move!!

As I said in the Kitely forums, ‘The Wizard’ is such a marvelous, rich and intricate world! I rode the horse and it took me on a mystical, fresh and dreamlike journey with music and poetry and the most delicate particles you could imagine. After a rough week this truly was balm to my soul. Thank you so much, Karima, Dale and Kurk, for this lovely experience!

At first, as I arrived, the leaves were twirling, swishing, swirling – whispering a promise to create a wistful, watchful, wilful Wizardry. And behold – I heard a riderless horse stomping his hooves, snorting restlessly, anticipating to fulfil the Wizard’s whims. With bated breath, I mounted my mighty steed and then the veil lifted and I was engulfed by the most colourful, playful, unanticipated and unbelievable panorama. From magic to majestic, from funfare to fanfare, from quivering to quaffing, from trembling to take-off, awed to adorable, drowned to daunting — to YES! Declaring this one of the most beautiful, intelligent and interesting rides ever. Miss Hoisan, you and your fellow magicians have outdone yourselves. Kudos, I doff my hat to all of you. And I bow with respect.

Awww Sis Suze, your beautiful, wistful wordplay has made this Pisces soar and swim:) I felt you just let go and allowed that Wizard to put you under his spell and show you his world…in his way. That way..you could just dream awake and marvel that magic still exists in the world and in the darkest but brightest forests of our imaginations:) and that we stillallneed it to counteract the dull grayness of this last year of pai death and lockdown..Hugss Sis..Round up that cowboy(you know which one) and we can do it again soon:) BIG Hugs and such fun to be along on the ride:)

I was here! Truly STUNNING, Sissy ((hugs)). You and Dale and the rest of your resource assistants have outdone yourselves (smiles). Entire experience was so smooth, seamless and I barely wanted to leave the Wizard’s room with all the lights, lol. Fantastic experience!!
Obviously one of my favorite parts is literally the Wizard’s Room, where you’ve completed the tour and yet… There’s no real “ending” as you can literally continue to enjoy what seems like an infinite visionary immersion. Confesses to spending an additional 20 to 30 minutes JUST being mesmerized UNDER THE SPELL (lol). And of course, using the HUD gifted to visitors gives everyone plenty of opportunities to revisit any and all of the creative areas in this world.
This is a can’t miss experience where the adventure is on a continuum that leaves you in awe! 😀

Yay Diz!!! I am so happy..thrilled really..that you had such a good time on the Wizard!! That’s why we made it haha:) I am still planning to get a Pisces Posse to ride together soon and do the journey together..Will be so much fun:) So glad you took the Hud to revisit fun parts..all have the dance balls or what you need and don’t forget you can always jump into a little boat with two Edith dolls haha and ride the falls again anytime you want. Certain things will only be triggered if you take the ride from the beginning..but still the Hud is fun. Thank you for this wonderful comment,.. we are all so happy you deem The Wizard a worthy ride:) Big HUgs Sis..and the Fish sisters will ride together soon..PLEASE!!!
