Dissolving and Becoming_n

This beautiful  acrylic painting, Dissolving and Becoming, by my dear friend,Jan Betts, is the featured image for my first poem, published on MasticadoresUSA, Director re crivello, Editor, Gabriela Marie Milton.

“In One Puff” was first published on my site in March.
I am so pleased that Gabriela invited me to submit for their website and to have chosen this one, as their featured poem today.
Gabriela is one of my personal favorite writers and ever since I discovered her here on WordPress, I have been a fan:)
For those who have not already seen it, I hope you will enjoy it. I chose this painting of Jan’s because in many ways I feel my muse in it:)
Likes and comments on their site is very appreciated. This is a new site to help broaden the readership of poets and short prose writers…let’s give it our support!!

Congratulations, my dear Karima!!!! You absolutely deserve it, your writing is always stellar and truly one of a kind! I absolutely LOVE this piece. So many clever lines…the use of “zig zag” was super cool too! The way you intricately weave such meaningful messages is deeply divine and breathtaking. Keep shining and being fantastically you, my dear friend! I always look forward to your posts 🖤🤗

  11. From the artist, Jan Betts, who says WordPress hates her:) and never lets her comment:

Love this poem… how it playfully is seduced by the always mysterious Muse! It comes in its own way, its own time… if you want it TOO much, it just won’t come. So it is a metaphysical balance that opens that portal. And Karima has such a mad love affair for her Muse… who is the creative vamp… Karima or her Muse? ….. honored that she chose my painting as the visual for this!

  12. Oh Jan Jan Jan..it I who am honored to be given the privilege to use your amazing painting. I is so mysterious, so profound, so gorgeous…I love to think of this radiant being as a manifestation of my muse…You as an artist have also always had your special relationship too and as you say here…if you Want it Too much..the muse will not come..and if she wants to give you a gift, and idea, in the middle of the might, take it.//stay up/not a good idea to refuse the muse:) Love you Jan Betts and your incredible talent❤️🤗🙏🌟
