Whenever someone writes about his or her mom, I get sentimental, and you write from the heart, it has a deeper impact. The way you have written on her winter coat is mesmerising. I can feel your love and emotion here. Very well written, Karima. Hope you are well now. Stay blessed 😊💐💖

Thank you so much Ishita for your beautiful comment and for visiting my blog. Yes, this very personal poem, touches on the transience of life as you point out. I was very upset one year to find my mother’s coat fallen on the floor..then I realized. it was no longer hers or even mine… It was an important lesson to learn. Thank you again for stopping by🙏

Listening. It’s nice. The background is great. Everything works well. Opera singing! Such a deep poem! Your readings are fantastic! I love this ending stanza, with the change of seasons and the coat. Wonderful! Thanks for sharing!

Thank you Ben for listening.. this poem always holds an emotional charge for me .. it was s big Life lesson to me, realizing this coat was no longer my mother’s nor was it even mine..instead of feeling upset seeing it on the floor, i felt humbled to see how Life works. Thank you my friend for feeling this one

You’re welcome. It’s really fantastically done. I can see how “charged” that could be. Humbled, yeah … I see what you mean. The importance of life but also the feeling of the full nature. You’re welcome. I love this. One of my favorites of yours because of much depth is in it!
