Wishing To Be Freed
On alien air kisses I hovered passing close to you
beast and angel becoming one inside of me.
That odd orange and green was our night’s color scheme
multicolored moving glows, surrounding our cracked halos.
How familiar it did seem, as if in my last lucid fluid dream,
I remembered how I breathed and each breath took me deeper.
We pump our themes under frightened canopies.
We pump our lives into each other just to catch that extra breath,
because loneliness passes in swimming schools,
and our eyes stay fixed and we choose not to look or move.
Should we trade our passion for smiles,
or let it drift into visions until it pours and floats away?
Like a small remembering, old youth circulates in our sap, our blood our beast.
Whipping it back into form, the colors sadly fading,
we choose to cage it, in tufted bubbles of sobriety.
Sweet dark perception… savage calling… stay away!
Intent is so much more than the crime
and these eyes can not help but plead guilty
to wishing to be freed.

Parallel Worlds ~ Farscape SL
Dark and sensual! (And quite the formidable AV as well; such an image…) You read it so expressively, and the music is an excellent choice (as usual).
“Sweet dark perception… savage calling… stay away!”
Ohhh…

Thanks Dale so much for listening and commenting.. I was just discovering how virtual Art was opening my poetry and also was trying to figure out who I was and would be in this strange land:) It was before we met and I just loved to go and see the latest exhibits..Do you remember claudia222 Jewell? As I recall she was a very sought after Tattoo artist in Paris…but she went wild in 3d Art in second Life.

Ok, I know this is not related to the poem (sorry!) and it may be inappropriate (sorry!) but that is one sexy avatar, Karima!

Ha ha …You can’t help it David..You’re a man:):) I went through many different dress codes in SL until I found what I am most comfortable in (a bit more clothes) but my avatar has been an attractive one since I tweaked and made her..in 2007. I do hope you enjoyed the poem too :):)

deep, swimmingly, romantic poetic flair in your amazing voice and music. It almost sounded like you were underwater. Loved the affect and words. So many wonderful lines but this one caught my attention:
“We pump our themes under frightened canopies.
We pump our lives into each other just to catch that extra breath,
because loneliness passes in swimming schools,
and our eyes stay fixed and we choose not to look or move.”
Excellent Poetry Karima❣️💕✨

Ohhh thank you so much Cindy… your comment has put a skip in my step. Yes, i added some fx to my voice to try and give it a quasi underwater feeling,,You are so perceptive!! I like that line too, that you quoted. Sometimes in our lives the only goal is just not to be lonely… i think in our modern world there is more but then again, Dale and I have been keeping each other company snd inspired for the last 12 years. So the internet is a double edged sword… it can alienate but it can also bring together. Big hugs and wishing you lots of Gramma moments ❤️🤗❤️

You’re so very welcome my dear Karima! Skiing becomes you and what you do best. Oh well you done good as it was fun to decipher. It’s such a double edge sword and I’m so delighted you have been able to maintain such a special relationship! I’ve had my share of both and it can be crushing and opening at the same time. Awww thanks so much. There are lots of those right now.. xo 💞
