My poem “Rain Forest Balcony” Performed on Spillwords. com

Rain-Forest-Balcony-spillwords

I am sooo excited!! My poem “Rain Forest Balcony” is up today on Spillwords and they included a little icon you can push and hear it recited to my own music!!!
WOOOOOOOO!

This is a first for me and I am so thankful to Dagmara K. for trying this out!!!
All the sounds you hear were recorded by me at my house at the beach, over the years, which sits on the very edge of a protected National Park.
I am not going to put the recording here…just please go to Spillwords to read and listen….and leave a little heart or if I could capture yours with my poem:):) Comment are welcome everywhere:)

Rain Forest Balcony

The booming bark of nearby howler monkeys,
announce the day.
Soprano giggling parakeets, against an ocean backdrop,
fly away.

Please go here to read and hear the rest and Thank You!!!

Yay and congratulations! They don’t usually do audio tracks, right? You are a pioneer. 🙂

the living sounds, plus that funky guitar, give a wonderfully lazy & receptive vibe, chilling me down to a good listening temperature where necessary, & lifting me up to new heights also, where possible🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼🤪

the jungle sounds set the tone quite well: i am cued for ‘exotic’🤗💃🏻💃🏻🤗relaxed & fun!❤️😎

    • As my father used to say…”Call me anything, just don’t call me late to dinner” It’s always nice to hear from you. If you listened to the audio spoken word on Spillwords, I bet the sounds sounded very familiar to where you live:)

Thank you for the response Karima. We do have some beautiful birds also on our island of RAIATEA. We are known as , ” THE SACRED ISLAND ”
Sacred black herons like to sit on my dock and leave big white “calling cards” that I have to wash off and brush. From what little I know about Costa Rica, you have us beat in the bird department. Minas, grey doves that are oopas and Minas a plenty here. I sit on the back patio and whistle back and forth with them. I have used your fathers saying many times. Someday perhaps we will meet in person….or maybe not. It matters not. I sense you are a gentle and kind spirit.
As Jimi Hendrix put it….. ” If I don’t see you no more in this world, I’ll see you in the next one…..and don’t be late ! Sending you good thoughts and wishes Karima !
