You Make The Magic
The magic of shape and color and shades of light
of textures so darkly smooth, and so sharply bright
Roll off my retinas until I almost faint and fall into bloom
I didn’t think I’d find all of this in my glorious sunny room.
What sorcery of love or bewitched ways await?
I’m caught in your bright lights awaiting my fate.
But your colors call me, your stained glass & wire
Your remarkable talent is perfume that sets me afire.
The stars are everywhere, stars & moons, ethereal tunes
The incense, burns, the candles flicker, the singer croons
I am sitting cross-legged on a pile of pillows, rolling tapestries
If I close my eyes, this light show grows and takes away my realities.
When I open them, the leafless tress beckon me to help them leaf
They know more than I, so I dance in their bare arms, feeling their grief
But you wave your hands around us and it is Spring and we all rebirth
It is any time you choose it to be, my Wizard, My Magician my Beloved Earth.

i love the poem, especially the image & thought of being so surprised that i “fall into bloom”!🦋🌺🦋wow, i could feel that somewhere i didnt even know existed🙏🏼 i just love reality-play, which poetry excels at🌹🥰😘 what heavenly/earthly poetry it is too, a grand celebration of your embodied life, with your roots buried in the rich soil🌞🌳🌳🌳🕊️🌞🤗 thank you, soulkin😘❤️

Ahh soulkin, yes that line “fall into bloom” is not a very normal choice of words hehe, but in my sort of altered state. I actually changed another line to it..because, it’s more what I saw in my head. I treasure your comments because we have such similar yet different life experiences and both know from the inside out about reality-play…within the Big Play. Thank you fellow Earth-child for this beautiful comment.🙏❤️🙏

Aww thank you Navin and if I would have felt better, I would have made a recording, but my swollen face(oral surgery) made it very hard to talk:) I’m much better by the way and so glad you enjoyed this piece and the whole idea of it…Thank you for your kind words about me at the end..but same goes for you..We poets have the power to move and excite, calm and inspire..You most certainly do Naveen🌹🙏

Hurrah for loopy poetry! 🙂 The image is a great combination of RL light and hallucinated art. (Now I want to go play with the earlier version of the AI engine that I used for those Sunny Room pictures.)

Glad you liked my loopy verses, Dale and I think you are calling my side (The stars) “hallucinated art” and haha that is a perfect term for them too. Oh play away in old engines, I have no doubt something will pop up and inspire me again. I do like the older AI engines even a bit more…they don’t produce such picture-perfect, photo-realistic images..and they are definitely more wild and surprising:)
