The Candy-Apple Red & Blue Dream by Karima & Dale

goodlook5 at 3.47.25 AM

This video, “The Candy-Apple Red & Blue Dream” is the 3rd installment of The Colored Dreams Series,  a narrated storybook format of an illustrated story I wrote back in 2011 and published on my blog. The inspiration for this story came from my impressions and fascination with DB Bailey’s sim Locus in SL,  an amazing surreal entire world of color, surprises and beauty. This breathtaking sim is now lost to us forever, but a few images you will see in this story were taken there, by me and by DB himself.

I am eternally grateful to him for the encouragement and influence to write this story. The Colored Dreams Series will be 6 separate YouTubes.  The Candy-Apple Red & Blue Dream is the third video.
The Red Room was the first and can be watched here Click

The Ship of White Dreams was the 2nd and can be seen here Click:

I am also very grateful to Dale Innis, for making it possible to re -write this story in a different way. His AI Art images, so beautiful and intriguing, go so well with the originals. Dale also made all the slides you see.
Thank you Dale for your eye for beauty and symmetry and your gift of collaboration.

The music is by Clint Mansell, who, although has the copyright, allows it to be used here on YouTube, “Together We Will Live Forever” from his score of the movie, The Fountain. You will hear a lot of his music, in the coming chapters:) Big thanks to Clint Mansell for his generosity for small content creators.
In some areas (like mine in Latin America) the video will not play on WordPress. Please watch it
directly on YouTube and in 4K.. and let me know what you thought.
Are you interested in Chapter 4? We Hope so:)
Dale & I now present The Candy-Apple Red & Blue Dream….. Let us transport you:)

I’m so grateful for the chance to collaborate in the re-presentation of your amazing story; this chapter is about so many things, life and death, love and faith, grief and writing… Such a journey!

  2. Likewise Dale…without you making these slides and all your support in so many ways. This Chapter was first written 13 years ago and some things still touch me as deeply as ever. It might have been written now. This is is a journey…and we still have half way to go:) Thank you for journeying along with me.

It was such an intoxicating beginning. The score by Clint Mansell is lulling, and we are immediately captivated and drawn into the emotional power behind every word. (What a fantastic life your friend Clint Mansell has had) The two glasses left one sweet and one bitter. I believe this to indicate existence – life on this planet is both sweet and bitter. The bands that take her sight perhaps have the ability to see things differently—a way to view life at its deepest penetralia. The air takes you to the light and melds the colors into something too exquisite to describe. The sense of being needed by something desperately and the urge to help is perhaps the state of our world and all the cries of the dying people, animals, and the elderly that are tossed aside—the unembellished loss of all compassion.

The shifting of the colors, “the moon trapped in a net – I am a striking blue angel,” what a tremendous poetic line—surrendering yourself to help something that needs your help to survive. The steel blue metal with the labored breath is alive but barely. I love this scene of you on top of this creature’s snout, which I believe to be the world that has become hard and uncaring, but the souls and lives need to be saved and that is this creature’s message. So many dying all around, and you could not save any of them. I think this indicates your sweet heart and nature and your desire to help awaken the world to the fact that it is dying.

Crying out to the silent voice now (I believe this to be the voice of God), He is giving you a foretaste of what is to come.)

(Side Note) I love the blue dress and the way it looks so beautiful in the colors and illumination of the beautiful colors. Honestly, the scene where you kiss the dying creature and say, “The sweetness of his last minutes fills my mouth,” really made me feel such sorrowfulness. I could not help but cry. In the end, back in the room with that beautiful glass full of the creatures’ essence, you finally understand and the voice that is forever comforting is back.

I love how you describe the voice, which is back – commanding but kind as you feel his breath on your cheek. He commands you to write and to write it all, which you are doing so stunningly in this series.

Scott said that it reminded him of the Apostle John, on the island of Patmos, when God came to him and told him to write all that he sees – which becomes the Book of Revelations.

BRAVO, my dear friend, I see you in every line of this composition. Thank you so much for sharing this with us Karima. Dale your work was brilliant in this beautiful part 3 as was the composition-just such an earnest and passionate ride. Thanks to you all, Love Joni

  7. Ok Joni, I have my coffee, just got out of the pool and I am here to reply to your amazing comment:)
You are maybe the only person who watches our little storybook videos, who I actually know has seen it all:) Both Dale & I are aware that in this modern day of 20 sec Tik Tock videos, our videos are very long, for this story the average is 10 minutes, and many people, just don’t have the patience….but you and your hubby do!! So, first thank you for watching all three to the end. Your comments and observations are very appreciated by both of us and as I said before, you are amazingly perceptve. I so enjoy your speculations about her situation, the voice, the colors you mentioned in this last one, well you were totally correct and I open the 4th chapter summarzing that the last dream was, in Karima’s own words, “The Candy-Apple Red & Blue Dream , let me see and live the sweet and sour, the cocktail of Life with no comfort blanket, muse, or guide.”
So i am always nodding along with these perceptions and yet, I see there are still some mysteries, even you will have to watch the next 3 to resolve!!. What fun it is to have an audience like you both!!
Interesting, I was struck deeply about how this chapter I wrote in 2011 is still sadly relative today, somethng you also mentioned. Still I would not trade the compassion that lives within me, for a comfortable unperturbed life of distance and indifference. If I get to that point (God forbid) then I have gotten to the end:) So my dear friend, I am madly lost now in putting Chapter 4 together, and I can’t wait for you to see it. Your words fall on me as pure inspiration and incentive to continue and I am so thankful to you Joni, for giving us the extra spark, to fnish what we started. Big hugs and much love. You are amazing. Oh and PS if you have a chance, would you copy and paste your comment on YouTube too? I really like having all the comments on my channel too. More hugs and muchas gracias! ❤️, Kari:)

Karima, it is my pleasure. I am excited to watch the next three. I know whatever the overall meaning it will be clear at the end of this series, it will be profound, and I will be able to understand the depth of the idea behind this creative and beautiful work. Thank you all again. Love and hugs, Joni

Such a gift in imagery and heart created by you and Dale, Congratulations to you both❣️ Truly a an experience of us empaths who love and do our best to bring light when we can’t find it. A desperate feeling of being lost, confused, shaken to the core as we navigate these dark times and waters.

I just answered you This AMAzing,,you would have loved it, we could have danced to it even, reply to your fantastic comment and when I sent it..I got a msg from WordPress saying, “Sorry we do not allow replies to unauthorized comments” I thought Yikes WP put it innpending /spam but No.They did it even worse..They put your senstive gorgeous comment in TRASH Can you believe it? WP totally TRashed You!! But I rescued it and here I am to say (again) how much I love how and what you see in our series. I’m sorry this reply will be less vivacious and spontaneous, but I called you “an empath’s empath” and said how you see our chapters in a mystical yet, pure and accepting way. I think you just surrender to the story, might not understand it all now..but in the end,..it will be revealed. I promise you it will. I loved your comment…Dale and I are feeling pretty happy with ourselves that we took on this task to redo my old story from 2011…to new readers and to YouTube..,.Speaking of, would you mind copying this gem of a comment to YouTube to share it with my Channel viewers…from one YouTuber to another hehe.. Thank you Cindy,.. much love and Big Hugs..Yes The world is so harsh right now…We have to make our own beauty…
