The Deco-Pink & Bronze Dream -Fourth Chapter of The Colored Dreams Series by Karima Hoisan & Dale Innis

This video, “The Deco-Pink & Bronze Dream” is the 4th installment of The Colored Dreams Series,  a narrated storybook format of an illustrated story I wrote back in 2011 and published on my blog. The inspiration for this story came from my impressions and fascination with DB Bailey’s sim Locus in SL,  an amazing surreal entire world of color, surprises and beauty. This breathtaking sim is now lost to us forever, but a few images you will see in this story were taken there, by me and by DB himself.
I am eternally grateful to him for the encouragement and influence to write this story. The Colored Dreams Series will be 6 separate YouTubes.
The Deco-Pink & Bronze Dream is the fourth video.

The Red Room was the first and can be watched here Click
The Ship of White Dreams was the 2nd and can be seen here:  Click:
The Candy-Apple Red & Blue Dream was the 3rd and can be seen here:  Click

I am also very grateful to Dale Innis, for making it possible to re -write this story in a different way. His AI Art images, so beautiful and intriguing, go so well with the originals. Dale also made all the slides you see.
Thank you Dale for your eye for beauty and symmetry and your gift of collaboration.

The music for this chapter is by two artists:
Angelo Badalamenti:
Theme From The Comfort of Strangers
 Roberto’s Arabesque

Mysteries of Love (French Horn Solo)
 Mysteries of Love (Julie Cruise)
Gregorian:
Angels

Please watch it directly on YouTube and in 4K.. and let me know what you thought. Likes and Comments on YouTube are very appreciated too:)

  1. I love how the words explain why the image’s arms are above her head 🙂

This piece is all so beautifully written and rendered!

    • Thank you again David, for following along in this experimental series, a new face on an old story, so to speak. I love how you notice details , like the arms, and don’t we all at times think we absolutely can’t do something…when actually we can? Thank you for mentioning the storyline and the rendering. I can actually produce YouTubes in 4K now on my new computer, which look so nice and don’t lose anything on a big screen. Salaam ya David:) y shukran

This came out beautifully; the stories are really fitting well into this format (with your voice and choice of music and perfect transitions). The mystery of the emotions and the setting flow so well.

My technical note for anyone interested in the AI image stuff 🙂 most of the images here are from Karima’s original weblog post. For the ones where we wanted something new, Midjourney got rather stubborn about not wanting to produce certain things, and I found that using ChatGPT and its ability to collaborate on images (“A bit more pink, perhaps?) was less novel and surprising, but much easier to get exactly the thing one wanted!

Honored, again, to be able to lend some of my work to this project, and eagerly looking forward to the rest…

    • Thanks Dale, and even though you are a very seasoned Midjourney AI wrangler…that program just did not want to take orders from you this time..ChatGPT came to the rescue in the nick of time:) Thank you for your great slides.. Jan commented she loved the color combination by the way:):) You are the best artistic partner…anywhere!! It’s my honor to work with you on this series:)

    The Deco-Pink and Bronze Dream

This is such a beautifully sculpted environment with bewitching colors that pull us in right away. I love the outfit you are wearing in this dream and the way his voice is speaking to you, “Dance and be glorious.” All the rooms are so interesting and the pillows on the lovely couch have material that has a glimmer to it, it looks like I can touch them. You get the sense that you could walk into the scene with her. The light at the bottom of the room that shines upward was glorious. I also really liked that he reassured her that he was always there and she knew she was not alone.

One of our favorite things during the scene where she is moving up and she hears the flute is that she was the one who was tying herself up – with fear, the unknown – perhaps the things we hold onto in the real world, those same things that keep us from following our hearts and our dreams. I loved that he told her and the reality of that immediately resonated with her.

There are always welcome surprises in these episodes. The woman speaks to her through thought and how she had a conversation with her and dances with all the other people and even him. I loved that you put this into your episode. She feels trust, love and I think completely in awe of everything she sees and does. I picture heaven much like this, in terms of loving everyone and everything.

The voice I feel is the voice of God. We can talk to him all the time and he hears us but he has many children and so he responds in many ways. She is told by him when she is back in her room which by the way, every scene is just so exquisite, that she has to always “choose dance over death!”

To me when I watch this I feel like she is undergoing a life-after-death experience. Who would want to leave such a place where everything and everyone sort of melds together in color, music, and love? I feel bad when the windstorm takes her home, but her coming and going in these episodes are done with such tenderness and grace. I think she feels peace like we will when we are finally with God.

The room, her bed, which again the fabric looks like it is right in front of us as we watch her on the bed. This dream feels like an amazing taste of what heaven will be like – only just a taste but those who have had a life-after-death experience all seem to feel the kind of peace you share and also that people talk with their minds.

Karima as usual this addition to the story has been orchestrated in such an engaging and heart-rending way that if someone watches and is not pulled into this world you and Dale have created I don’t understand it. “I am falling in love.” I love that you tell us how strongly the love you feel is truly for “him!” Thank you so much for sharing this episode with us again and all your hours and hours of hard work to do so. Blessings my dear sweet tender-hearted and talented friend. Please let Dale know how much we both enjoyed this beautiful piece of work and how we appreciate him as well. Scott sends his love as well Karima. Love from us both. Joni
