The Last Dance by Dale Innis on Dall-E AI Art
Goodbye Karima of The Colored Dreams
I was not just your writer, I was your friend.
Every step along the way, I was your witness.
I cheered you on and held your hand.
In the darkest hours, I hoped you would prevail.
When I realized how this would end,
I held you close to me and admired your surrender.
May I be as willing as you to trust someone someday.
I learned from you and at the end I was not sure…
Who was the writer and who was on her journey?
I feel an emptiness inside; now that everything’s been said
All the images float into one, all the colors whirl and blend
You live inside of me and when they play that waltz again,
I would be so honored, if you’d spin me joyously in my last dance.
Love,
Karima

I feel all your mixed emotions as such a dramatic serial creations ends … joy at a job well done but that inevitable sense of loss that the fun of creation is over! But I’m in no doubt that you will find yet another project to collaborate on, enchanting us once more 🙂

Thanks for your optimism Kate…but I’m pretty sure something will come to mind about an “exciting new project” to consider. Creativity is definitely a light addiction..but an addiction nonetheless Thank you for your kind words:)

yes an addiction, but you dealt wonderfully with life, love and death here … biggies to tackle yet you did it so well.
Looking forward to your next series but a creative break is allowed 🙂

What a beautiful surprise! You are so good at pulling the curtain back and showing us what your creative process, and the feelings around it, are like from the inside. I adore this glimpse into your feelings about that Karima, and how complex the relationship between the creator and the created can be.

Ahh yes, it’s a microcosm of our macrocosm (where we are the creature..not The Creator) Thank you Dale for providing the perfect image once again:) It’s fun to go behind your own scenes and just be a little transparent at times:) I have been the last to know in many cases, where my story was going or why… or how or Help!!!:):)

Such a gift my friend. Not what I expected with this trip of a lifetime I assumed what acid. The suspense was brilliantly delivered! As you can see, I’m catching up to comment after so much happening here which has been a bit of a blur. ❤️💃🏻💃🏻💃🏻

Yes no acid..just “color therapy” but there was love and an unusual mutual connection. How lucky she truly was…and her surrender is something I so admire, and hope to emulate when my last dance comes. I know the hectic and emotional time you are going through. Any good day….is a really good day. Your father in law is so lucky too…to have your wonderful family…to have you ❤️
