Pearl Astor Winchester (how I love her name) came out of the blue one day a few months back and contacted me. As she says in her welcome speech (and I am quoting her)
“I first discovered Karima quite serendipitously through Facebook. The moment I encountered her work, it felt like a lightning bolt—something stirred deeply within me. I had long envisioned a poetry reading here in the garden, but wasn’t sure where to begin. And then, there she was—a voice, a vision, a muse.”
I went to her gorgeous garden venue at “Pearlmoor Abbey” and was swept off my feet. Her fine love of detail and exquisite taste, her talent for decoration and color combinations..really It’s maybe the most beautiful venue I have ever read in!🌹 I got into my dress for tomorrow, a Mexican Spring gown, and took a few pictures.. What do you think?

This is why I love Second Life!! Where else? could this happen? She is in Asia and I am in Costa Rica and with her guests, from everywhere… we will all be together tomorrow:)

I will include two pictures Dale took at the reading. It was wonderful and everyone had a good time…even me.. I got over my stage fright and just enjoyed myself:) There were 28 people all spread out, from all over the world listening and interacting after each poem.

Yes, with so much happening in the outer world, it’s wonderful to have a small respite in a beautiful virtual garden, sharing my poetry with everyone and just bathing in beauty with like-minded souls. A real treat!!

Thank you Michele.. I always have a bit of stage fright (like in real life) but then I relax into it.. Hope it’s a nice experience for them too. It’s a new audience I have never read for:) 🙏

Sadje!! It was so much fun..20+ people, many from Asia others from everywhere:) It was a wonderful experience for me too and everyone enjoyed it. Alhamdulillah. I added a few pictures from today . If you make them bigger you can appreciate the detail:)

Ohh haha, Cindy, you were right:) It was magical.. Look at a few of the pictures on the bottom I just added:) Pearl Astor has such exquisite taste and her friends were so warm and appreciative of my poetry.. It was Amazing!!!! This is the virtual world at its best!!
