A Designer’s Legacy: From Paper to Pixels

I’m proud and pleased to share a 13 min video, that totally documents the miracle, that my dear friend and family member for 35 years, Gino, posthumously(He passed in 2020) realized this last Saturday. As I say on YouTube:

This is a labor of love for a great friend and designer, Gino, who passed away in 2020. Through the magic of virtual worlds, his many drawings and sketches he left behind now walk the catwalk one last time on Kitely Virtual Worlds, thanks to Kimm Starr of Virtual Vignette and her System, Animaster, Animated Animesh Control System. Even Gino, comes back to take a bow. The Animaster can be found on The Kitely Market. Special thanks to Koshari Mahana & Cooper Swizzle for modeling and lending their likeness.. To Rosa Alekseev for the Fabulous Party Music and to my dear friend, James Ottobre and Gino’s creative partner, for sharing his pictures and memories and for giving Gino his first break into fashion in his boutique.
Enjoy in 4K and if you can, give a Like on YouTube:) It keeps my little channel purring:)

  6. This transcends the digital: it is a false embrace between art and eternity. What a beautiful legacy for Gino – to see his strokes turned into movement, his essence parading in virtual worlds. I celebrate this technological alchemy that keeps alive the creativity of those who are no longer physically here, but whose ideas continue to make noise. You not only maintain the technical purr, but the emotional heartbeat of art.

Gino continues to teach us that true art never dies – it just changes format. Thank you for using technology not to replace the human, but to honor it.

    Excellent work… 👏👏👏

  7. Thank you so much Lincol. Your beautiful poetic comment has filled my heart. The first time Kimm showed me it was possible to make an avatar dressed in Gino’s design….I cried. How he would have loved this, his own catwalk, the announcer describing in fine detail every outfit. I felt him close and in the closing when he turned into a butterfly he flew down and hovered in front of me….”Gino continues to teach us that true art never dies – it just changes format.” I love this quote and it is so appropriate here. I am skeptical of AI..I do not use it for making music, writing poetry, making videos or creating anything…but the virtual world does make things impossible in the real world, possible. I don’t know if you have seen this before, but if you would like to knoe Gino a little more, here is his story:)
