A small forward. I love my WordPress poets. I have been reading many of you for years and years. Today, I want to share a “new” WordPress poet for me. I say “new” because a few years back I read one of his poems and was very impressed. I fell in love with his style and maybe felt “line envy” (pure unjealous admiration) for almost every line in his poem. A few days ago, I rediscovered him and once again, felt that giddy feeling of admiration for his very visual metaphors. I asked permission to record one today and he said Yes:) I encourage you to subscribe: Robin Saikia He seems to be posting a new poem every day and I always look forward to the next. You can find out more about him on his blog, but, if you like breathtakingly visual poetry, you will love his.
“Salvaging The Bitta” I read it to my own music, “The Bitta” and I hope you enjoy it:)
This is pretty self-explanatory.. To the music, “Chain of Fools” played by my 1st ex-husband and still a friend today:) Dirty Dom Daniels (His stage name:) who has has never lost his wicked guitar:)
Turn it up..Dance!! It’s better to Be Bop than to cry:) Please listen and here are the words if you want to translate them…. but The Recording is more fun:)
It’s 2025!
Good morning sunshine I can hardly wait to see what new eye rolling insanity you have for me.
Boppin’ down the highway of my day, shaking my head from side to side everything I see or hear convinces me to hang on tight. This is going to be one big bump of a ride into the longest night
While the chorus line in my head keeps repeating.. You got to be kidding!? When did reality rock and roll? It used to be as steady as acement poll but lately, oh boy .. you just never know.
Not even Dalí directed by Fellini could conjure upthese whiplash scenes of this surreal sitcom series that everyone is watching like a car crash you can’t stop seeing I’m always light-headed vertigo comes over me, every time Iconnect to the net or watch TV.
Good morning sunshine, glad you’re still coming over the hill just like you did yesterday and the day before I don’t think there are any givens anymore Just feels like we are all racing to somewhere we’ve never been before.. I’m getting open mouth syndrome and my jaw is in locked position and my my poor strained eyes, from rolling them day and night.
Boppin down the highway of my day, shaking my head from side to side everything I see or hear convinces me to hang on tight. This is going to be one big bump of a ride into the longest night you know what I’m talking about ??? It’s 2025
I have something pretty new and unusual to share with you today:)
Going Down is a poem/video for and about our Earth.
In every way, it is something very different from what I usually do:)
I feltguided (pulled is a better word) to make this film and write this poem.
It is a warning andI composed the Industrial Music on Garage Band, to reflect it
Disclaimer, in a scene with a doll in a boat it looks like crosses are floating up. These are just particles being released from the scripted boat, and not meant to be any religious metaphor.
A special Thanks to Dale Innis who helped me create this world, “The Wizard” on Kitely Virtual Worlds and a special thanks to Kurk Mumfuzz for his many particles, used here, especiallythe bouncing balls and the fog at the end. Please watch in fullscreen and 4K.Enjoy! Let me know here there everywhere…if you did:)
I will write out the poem, for those of you who would like to translate it:)
“Going Down”
You didn’t notice while you were sleeping
or fighting, or killing each other.
The Earth was sighinggiving up and
and saying ”it’s just too much!”
I’m going down…and she left her orbit
and let herself fallto be carried by the tides.
It was almostpast the point of eventrying.
Earth’s entire population went to sleep
as theyfell lower, and lower.
They chose not to see reality,
this cosmicdrama unfolding.
The Earth was in pain,
but nobody was listening
The few that did wake up,
watched in horror
and felt too helpless
Lulled by pretty colors…
moststayed in their dreams
Speeding into eternity,
ploughing throughthe natural disasters,
which felt anything but natural to her,
Earth saw the small and weak
cut down too young,
the injustice of the haves
over the have nots
Earth felt the fever that was rising.
She welcomed the flood waters of the end
Every fire burned her, every bombbroke her open…
Some might say.,
“Wellall that isjust on the surface,
the Earth can bounce back.”
The tipping point was when she could bounce back
but didn’t,
going down and starting over seemed the only way..
She let herself sink back into everything from where she came.
This is Part 2 of A Pirate Story. Part 1 can be found here: • A Pirate Story by Karima Hoisan I am a Pirate..such a pirate that I even plundered my own music and refurbished a poem to make this video. Those who read me regularly might say, “hmmm this music sounds familiar”I did protest a bit, but in the end, my muse (as always) made me do it this way. Why?…well I hope you agree it just fits so well with the visuals and the ongoing Pirate Story. Please watch in 4K and turn up the sound.. I was proud of this track when I wrote it on Garage Band when it was just for the poem, now I think it has finally come into its own. I hope you agree. Thank you to Belavar Planiie, whose ship he gifted me is the Belavar del Mar (Castle of the Sea) Bonny Brave’s 1st ship. Enjoy and let me know.. YouTube Likes and comments are coveted:) and love to reply to comments here too:)
Here is the Poem:)
It’s a humid balmy dawn after that last late night rain… the vapor rises from the moorings; it’s nowway past dawn. Tropical but mystical..it really does go hand in hand, like you and I on the Believer del Mar tropical but mystical, the reflectionof the sun on our face.
My hand slides up and down your skin, so smooth your marble arms unconsciously; there’s crazy changes in my heart. Let me sail with you, you are the beauty, Bonny Brave, you are my future pain. I saw you in the past and now you’re here, but someday you will be gone.
Through all of this, the insects keeping rhythm with their feet… this entire scene, will trill away, like a dream once dreamed. Youproved to me when all the elements are in place, they can cause an event that will rock a world and bring it down Before today, it was just a theory; now it’s way too late to deny.
The birds flap on high,my heart almost stops when I see you smile. But no, this is not the ending..I do not accept we are being ripped apart and I will shout it to the last star, dying on the morning sky, “No, this is not the ending!” I do not accept we are being ripped apart.
My heartknows the truth I’m going to lose you, one of these dawns. You will kiss me goodbye and promise to never disappearthen take your last breath like the waning night sky being eaten by the encroaching day. I know I have this in store; it’s something that I’m waiting for. I can see the future and in it…I stand alone.
Hi everyone, I’m pretty sure most or all of you have a muse and know her pretty well. This is my mine:) I shot the scenes on my world on Kitely, Gino’s Butterfly and hope you can relate. My muse encouraged me to write this very different music for it too:) Inside YouTube, under More, the whole script is written out, so those who need to translate it can, or just leave me a comment, and I will send it to you. Enjoy in 4K and Fullscreen. Likes and comments always welcome here and on YouTube:)
Fruits, Flowers & Trees by Dale Innis on Midjourney AI Art
To the Music of Akoviani “Abstract” my reading of the poem
The Return of Humanity
On the other side of that cloud bank I think I see a rainbow could it be, that changes will come down for me… for all of Humanity.
I think that the universe has bigger faith in us than I can see. Pulling me up on my tippy toes, it injects me with a bright vision of flowers and peace, of hope in our compassion, ofbringing back the word, humane to mean kind, of setting aside greed to take each other’s hand and pull ourselves out of the grave we are digging ourselves in…. every day.
We could trade in all the war machines all the bombs, the bullets, the drones of death.. for seedlings and trees. Can you imagine the changes that would bring? No war , anywhere in the world, just fruits, flowers and trees…. and the return of Humanity.
I’m holding my breath. I’ve been holding it for months, waiting for a ceasefire to be signed as that would mean a stop to the unending bombing to death of men, women, andchildren, asleep in their beds.
When it was first announced I felt hope… But… that night the bombing continued as if to get in a few last gut punches. Why has the bombing continued if there is really a sincere desire to stop?
Why must children, wrapped in their flag, happily exhausted from celebrating the good news, the end of the violence, the end of the bloody war be found the next morning,
in the rubble of what was their home, still wrapped in that same flag, no longer a symbol of pride and hope and joy, but a shroud for yet another smallsenselessdeath?
I invite you to read a very well written and very interesting comparrison, by Adam Fenner of my poem/YouTube, “A Pirate Story” to the real life story of one of the only female pirates of the times, the infamous, Anne Bonny. It is written clearly and beautifully and makes some very interesting points, I too was not aware of. I did not think of her when I wrote this poem, but I see now, through Adam’s analysis the uncanny overlapping of the two stories…mine, poetic and Anna Bonny’s, historical. Please Enjoy:
Hi all, I went and visited an older build of mine on Kitely Virtual Worlds…. a space- themed sim and I decided to capture some shots with my camera. This is the result…:) I was fascinated by the colors and movement of everything in that sim, in a constant rotation. Please enjoy the result. I composed the music on Garage Band and I think it goes really well. If you actually read my credits you will wonder why I put Narration in…haha I now wonder too as I decided to not use any:):) Ooops!! Please watch in Fullscreen, 4K and turn up the sound….and Enjoy!
happy to share my latest video with you and hope you enjoy it. I bet you didn’t know that in a past life, I was a pirate:) Please watch in Fullscreen and 4K. If you enjoyed it, Likes and comments on YouTube are highly appreciated:)
A Pirate Story This ship you see bears the nameMy Lost Beauty I did not name her idylly after it became mine… I gave her the only name that she could possibly be knowing how she came to me.
I survived because of the blessing, I was the only one to believe, if I stood each day break when the Goddess Turina came up from the depth and showered her blessing over me.
My ship came to me in the time of the boiling Corona Seas, when sailors one by one succumbed to thisinvisible dreadful disease all the fish dried up in the sea and the pirates died and I was left alone, to enjoy the spoils of plunder The buildings and businesses now empty I was left all of this ..everything the eye can see but in someways I wasleft with nothing
It became meaningless all of it, too many memories, when everywhere was filled with life, now death had silenced all the joy, the good pirates and the bad all cut down equally..until I was the only one who still sailed these poisoned lifelessseas, I took pleasure in beauty.. inmy hands I gathered seeds from all the islands near & farand planted them reveling in their color, they were Nature’s Art come to comfort me. This and the feeling of the winds opening the sails, was the only thing that could comfort me.
Here at the Pirate’s Pub Isaw the best come & go the drinking and song the fights and the truce’s made withthe hair of their mustache and a handshake. It saddens me to even be here So I set out to sail the deadly Corona Sea Maybe I too will succumb.. but that’s a prayer I keep to myself.
At one time, in the best of times I had someone by my side someone who understood me someone so very like me and we shared our hopes and when the plague poisoned the seas we shared our fearof uncertainty and the last place she was alive is where I live our memories .
Bonny Brave, Captain ofthe ship I sail. The only other woman Pirate I had the chance to meet. Who bequeathed me her ship before her death and who I named on her finaldeathbed “My Lost Beauty.” and who willalways sail with me I receive my blessing fromTurina to stay alive and journey these lifeless seas not for myself or fear of death but to keep alive ….her memory.
