All-You-Can-Eat Buffet!
All -You -Can- Eat Buffet
I only keep birds in flocks, free in the trees
I am the one who is behind bars.
They peck and quarrel and the big birds rule
Lunch goes on for hours, as they are quite content
They are birds, free to be themselves,

Ohh thank you Diana! We have been living the tail end of a hurricane (Eta) these past days and the rain had not stopped, so my Banana-Papaya Buffet has been very crowded:)
I just tried to capture this..and as Dale says below..the privilege of serving Nature:) Thank you so much for your comment!

“even when they are full, they hang around to chat
and quarrel and bicker, because they love to do that.”

Magic genie, you make the feeding and watching of these birds a metaphysical experience. It makes me want to be there. As the rain comes down! Have you given them names?

Thank you Hoyt! Not exactly names but yes I have named the different breeds like “Gold Helmet”
“Kings” nothing scientific:):) As I said, such a privilege to serve Nature! I am a very lucky girl:)

birds of the forest know they are the special guests…
it is perhaps their plumage or their posture…
or perhaps their strutting awareness of the host or the offering or one another…
a rich image painted in words and sound heard in the imagination…
well done, karima… 🙂
