Maki saved from dogs June 9 2021 at 5 weeks old, killed by dogs March 29, 2024
I will miss him terribly. He was a very very special cat to me. Maktoob, he was destined to be ours for just 3 wonderful years. Our beloved housecat who got out and met his death today…..and took my heart with him:(

Oh Karima, my heart is breaking for you today my friend. There’s nothing worse than loosing an animal and the tragic ending of beloved gorgeous Maki is beyond sad! I am so very sorry. Take good care. Cat’s are such gifts. Even though we try our best to protect them, the have independent minds thinking they are invincible. Sending love and hugs💓🤗💓🙏🏼

Oh Cindy…it’s heartbreaking,…especially with his history and the absolutely unique cat he was..but yes at night he used to sit on a stool looking out the window and cry to go outside. He never outside, just was sure he needed to go there and 3 years later, it cost him his life. Thank you for your love and hugs…really means so much to me. The photo of Maki is such a perfectly captured portrait – he was extremely handsome. My heart feels your grief Sissy and your gratitude for the gift of time that was allotted to you to have a loving relationship with your beloved cat ((hugs)). His tragic demise is just awful, yet… had he not been saved those years prior, neither of you would have had the joy of the shared relationship that extended his life. His soul roams freely now and the memories live within you where he is a part of you… forever.

Thank you so much Cassa and yes if you have 3 cats….you know. Maki was the baby, going to be 3 but he was the ruler but the most affectionate. To him I was his mother and if I napped he’d lay down with me and I’d hold him in my arms…It’s hard to accept his loss…
