Hi everyone, I am unusually excited to show and share this one:) The music is mine, written on Garage Band but when I was writing it, I had no idea what I would do with it. I admit, smiles, I myself love it!! Haha..not for lack of modesty, but just because it blew me away when I finally finished it. Now, I can not get it out of my head…oh and something new, I sing back up vocals on this one:) After listening to it, I knew there was only one thing….make a nostalgic retro video about my Bar & Dance in Second Life. The way we were…the way it was and why I was captivated almost 18 years ago (in December)
Kari’s Bar & Dance turned 16 years old this year and still exists. Please watch in 4K and turn up your sound. To see the words of the poem click on cc on the bottom of the screen (I LOVE cc!) Kari’s Bar & Dance opened its doors for the first time in New Toulouse in Second Life in the very beginning of 2009. This machinima is my contribution to remembering and honoring the good ol’ days of Second Life. This month is Second Life’s 22 Birthday (SL22B) Kari’s Bar & Dance now resides on my own sim, LINC Island as part of LINC City, but many of the original furnishings are still being used today. It’s barely changed in over 16 years. A special thank you to Dale Innis for dancing so gracefully and not stepping on my toes.
*If you could, a Like and comment on YouTube would be so appreciated:)
Hi everyone, If you watched my 1 minute video “No More!” you will recognize this music. I actually wrote it for this poem, but then the USA bombed Iran and I made that small video using it. I just read, by the way,a ceasefire has been agreed on between Israel & Iran (2 hours later I read it has not) but ……hopefully WWlll will be avoided. As you can see it has been a hard week for me personally and Sunday, I lost my beloved Cousin Dan who finally, at 95 could rest from this world. That’s what this poem is about.
Yesterday I lost one of the best people, one of the best friends I ever knew,
Beto Mora.
We worked together and he helped me build a ranch when I had no idea how to do that .
I nailed my first fence post, cured my first calf, fought with my first goat:) alongside Beto and had the most incredible experiences by his side… and we laughed and we argued (at times) then we laughed some more…and he was always there for me..
Beto was a loner, liked living alone, liked doing things his way, but he loved helping people and I was one of the many who he helped.
Everyone who knew him, loved him. That’s who he was…
God received the biggest diamond today when Beto departed to Heaven.
Rest in Peace dear friend. Allah yirhamhu… I will always love and remember you!
Hi everyone, “The Garden” is a simple story about warring ants in a beautiful paradise on earth. Special thanks to James Ottobre for sharing his gorgeous garden in Inverness California. He is the designer and caretaker of this colorful and vibrant sanctuary. Thanks to my wonderful extras for playing the ants. Music made by me in Garage Band. Edited in Final Cut Pro Please watch in 4K resolution ( cc captions available ) It’s always better to make peace:)
A small forward…
I am a practicing Muslim..I have been for 25 years but before that I was a converted Catholic and when my father was alive (I was 11 at his death) I was Jewish. I have the curious blessing of living the 3 Abrahamic religions in order:)
It has given me a unique perspective and for me,
we all worship the same God just in different ways.
I have always been attracted to gospel music and blue grass music and the music we played here in the countryside of Costa Rica, was so similar.
I heard this song last night in the credits and found it on YouTube.
I just loved it at first listen… I think it speaks for everyone who believes we are not alone on this planet…. and prayers are heard.
I will recite my poem (with all respect) to the music of the Moondoggies called
“Jesus on the Mainline”
I hope you will enjoy it.
River of Peace Floating on that river of peace, feeling everytributary Floating on that river of peace, feeling every tributary stretching its fingers ‘round the world
The water finds its way to the saddest place on earth The water finds its way to the saddest place on earth and brings the anguishedhopes of reprieve
I’m a floating witness to The tears andto thejoy I’m a floating witness to The tears and to thejoy on the faces of the suffering ones
I pray every day let the waters heal the pain I pray every day let the waters heal the pain Let the waters bring the grace
Let the waters bring the grace.
Hi everyone, Projects like this are why I disappear now and then:) but I’m back and thrilled to share my latest YouTube with you all:)
Time Flies is my latest original poem and music. Please Watch in 4K, Full Screen and Sound nice and high!! It was shot on my home sim, LINC Island in Second Life. I found this flying clock at a train station depot in Second Life and KNEW it could be something:):)
Thanks to the great artists of the early days there (SL) My dear friend Scottius Polke, Bishuz Decker (my first heartbreak:)and Lash Xevious of the never to be forgotten Island “La Reve”
Here is the poem for those who would like to translate it.. Music was made in Garage Band and absolutely no AI used in this film in anyway.
Time Flies
I’m coming throoooouuugh!!! Outa my way. I gotta keep moving I can’t stay.
Enjoy the good times because the bad ones are on their way
Oh I know…they’re coming I see the signs everyday. You know what keeps me wound? I move around. I’m too sweet to lose the beat I’malways right on time.
If I had legs I’d run in style a four- legged wind rider eating up the miles I’d be running so fast today wouldbe tomorrow in the blink of an eye and this very minute wouldbe in the past.
Enjoy every minute that can be found because the good ones just like the bad ’ keep on cycling round & round.
It’s like I grew wings when you were tucked in tight and now it all goes faster day into night See the truth with your own eyes Time Flies! Time Flies!
It’s so mechanical Time I’m on overwind… the past & the future it’s all in my mind…. Just make hay when the sun shines.
I once went out in the universe Time has no meaning out there you see… that’s what they explained to me and they said I don’t belong Speed goes there all the time but he never takes me along.
I was in the beginning and I’ll be at the end I ticked thru Alpha tocked to Omega whatever comes next you better believe it I’ll be there to get it
I kept time when Eve danced with the snake I echoed her heartbeats I witnessed the truth of every scene. Then years go by and history paints a brand new story a bedtime tale to put you all to sleep
Time runs away with your life and before you know it Time’s up!
I’m being serious now even I feel my beat’s getting faster the days growing shorter and I’m the Time Master!!
Who’s behind the panel? Let’s slow it down a beat even I’m getting tired and that’s me!
Time runs away with your life and before you know it Time’s up!
Your time of course not mine… mine can not even be counted I will be here for eternity times fourty-nine
I’m proud and pleased to share a 13 min video, that totally documents the miracle, that my dear friend and family member for 35 years, Gino, posthumously(He passed in 2020) realized this last Saturday. As I say on YouTube:
This is a labor of love for a great friend and designer, Gino, who passed away in 2020. Through the magic of virtual worlds, his many drawings and sketches he left behind now walk the catwalk one last time on Kitely Virtual Worlds, thanks to Kimm Starr of Virtual Vignette and her System, Animaster, Animated Animesh Control System. Even Gino, comes back to take a bow. The Animaster can be found on The Kitely Market. Special thanks to Koshari Mahana & Cooper Swizzle for modeling and lending their likeness.. To Rosa Alekseev for the Fabulous Party Music and to my dear friend, James Ottobre and Gino’s creative partner, for sharing his pictures and memories and for giving Gino his first break into fashion in his boutique. Enjoy in 4K and if you can, give a Like on YouTube:) It keeps my little channel purring:)
