What an utterly lovely surprise! I loved In the moment! I want to be in that place. And I know you are. Observing every nuance and putting it in such perfectly placed words. Emily Dickinson has done what youโve done here, but I feel she is not as intricate as this. I loved the humble description of yourself. I get the giddy feeling that your work will burrow itโs way into the mainstream. It is a journey that must be taken. You are just too good and have such a variety of thoughts, experiences and the ability to cast them on to a page!

Your comment was so amazing Hoyt!! I think even more poetic than my poem:) Well I almost fainted when you put me and Emily Dickinson in the same sentence…smiles.. I think she is much better at writing still life poetry, honestly ๐ but I thank you for your vote of confidence:) You almost get me giddy when you mention burrowing into the mainstream..I have been on the fringes so long, I can’t even imagine it, but my accepted submission at Spillwords gave me a bit more confidence. I admit that. You aare the best and your words were truly beautiful and yes, they inspire me:) Thank you Ruco!

Congratulations, dear Karima! That’s wonderful news, and what a beautiful poem! In my minds eye I see you dancing, gracefully, with the words following the movement of your fingertips to find just the right spot to settle. Miraculous ๐

This is massive Karima! God, I’m so happy for you. Saying you deserve it would just be me stating the obvious. Keep going higher friend!
I enjoyed the vivid imagery of the poem. The scenes actually come to live when its read slowly with meaning. I love it!๐โค

Thank you so much Joel. It’s just the first time, so it meant a lot to me;:) I really am not ambitious about my poetry, I’m not sure why, but I have always felt that way. I love to share it and see how it affects people, but on a small scale, I always enjoy your comments and also readying your prose and poetry. I love sharing ideas and our art..
