Please Sit Down….

Someone wished me a beautiful night…

It is a beautiful night,
the temperature
just right,
the feeling of the air,
that wraps around me
is a caress,
it’s like a kiss,
that lasts forever.
A subtle whisper in my ear:

“Go out and walk my night”
don’t trap yourself,
behind your curtains and glass;
“Walk out… into
this beautiful night
Because you can
and I want you to see
What I have prepared
for you.”
“Sometimes,
I just feel like sharing..
You have been a past
admirer of my work.
I have left you in awe
I have left you in tears,
but never
were you unmoved.
I do like to show you
my mind,
my love is here too,
just all in tiny little doses
You can drink very slowly.”

I have walked for an hour,
on an empty beach
there is a glow on the water,
there is a glow on the sand.
I feel almost like crying
I hear without hearing
a sound, it tells me
someone loves me,.
It stays so close
and I know it loves me.
I look up,
almost dizzy,
from so much feeling.
I do invoke a twirl
a perfect twirl
and if I’m being
watched
I am not being
judged,
not at all…
I’m just being loved.

“You might walk a night
like this,
again and again…
but tonight,
it’s not your choice,
but my gift..
just because I want to,
just because I can
You don’t have to thank me
I do it, because I love to
because I want to give it
to you…
Now,
please sit down..
and don’t anticipate..
Close your eyes…
Let me show you,
what I have for you…
I think you call it grace. “

  7. Hugss habeebity.Oh Ace.. your comment has filled me to the brim with love and Love and LOVE!!❤️ I am not even sure how to say this, as “thank you’ for getting me so easily and so deeply, I don’t think is even in your power..or mine..HUGS again.. Its that synchronicity we felt from the start when we read each other. I was reading and replying this afternoon, catching up on my bloggers and Ben wished me a “beautiful night” All of a sudden this poem started flowing, and the night was truly fitting for it too.. I have felt for 2 days I wanted to write something….but nothing came, or I became too cluttered with other things to even take some time….I think this poem might have been this moment of ‘sitting down”stopping my walk and letting myself receive something given to me…”just because” I love your comments, your poetry and you!!Thank you habeebity for who you are…❤️🤗❣️

Awww my precious Karima, what a special reply! I am so touched, connecting with you has truly made my night! Thank you for sharing the behind the scenes of how this magical piece was born, such a treat! Ben often gets the inspiration flowing! And I love what you say “letting myself receive something given to me”…that’s so purely beautiful. Awwwww 😊, I LOVE your comments, poetry and you too! And thank you, my dear friend, for truly seeing me and for being who you are 🖤🤗

I simply sat down seeing the title of your poem😊😊 But on serious note, I found this poem flowing like water mixed with colours, changing with every emotion. I think the best poem is one which comes naturally, and undoubtedly, this is one. It’s mesmerising, Karima. All the very best to you 😊🤗🥰💖💐

    • Thank you once more Kaushal for reading my latest..and enjoying its spontaneity and flow. I agree with you..some poems are just born like this..they come out all ready to sign..others take more labor, changes, tweaking, erasing.. This is feel is totally beynd our control. As a dear artist friend puts it..”we must learn to just get out of the way…when an poem wants to be born” I love that and believe it too. All the best kaushal and I hope you are relaxing and enjoying your weekend:)❤️🤗❣️🌟🌹

Welcome Karima. I had forgotten to mention your last lines. Grace can be seen with closed eyes only, so appropriate. Have a great Sunday 😊💖💐

Oh UmJulian, am smitten by this poem. Well, truly speaking, every poem of yours. You take us along with you and transport us to some other place, for a moment i do feel am taken away. It’s so beautiful, I search for words to praise you but I don’t get any, my words fall short for your talent. You are a gem habeebity ❤️❤️❤️🤗🤗🤗 love and hugs 💝

  14. Habeebity…you are so sweet…I love the word smitten, it is a little like new love…so nice to know my poem could do that for you:) It is a different one, I know, but it is what came while I was “getting out of the way” so it could come:) I really feel that is how I write.. not connected to what flows out and then
I read it at the end..always a bit surprised:)
You don’t have to ever “praise” me habeebity..I love that you loved it, that it took your imagination by the hand, down that beach at night. Love you UmAnzar..Bless you always and Allah ma3k !!🙏🤗❤️🌟🌹

  20. Wow! What a beautiful flow. This really works! I read it through a few times now, and it just gets better and better. Adoring the ending. Stanza 3, too :). This part I keep re-reading:

    I look up,
    almost dizzy,
    from so much feeling.
    I do invoke a twirl
    a perfect twirl
    and if I’m being
    watched
    I am not being
    judged,
    not at all…
    I’m just being loved.

This is fantastic! It really all comes together wonderfully.

i love it! i so know the feeling from a calling that led me out into the woods at twilight into the night. i made up a song to sing when i returned home in the dark so that animals would know i was coming: “i mean no harm, i am passing through: i celebrate all existence.”
it was great to journey with you in your elegantly expressed poem with the trippy graphic. thank you❤️🙏🏼❤️

    • Somehow when we were talking about grace…I new you would relate to this one..I love the song you invented, to tranquilize the animals..and very thoughtful of you too…but you were still buzzing I’m sure, from your own calling into the woods.. I agree, that picture is just perfect for a beach time transcendental happening:) Hugs 🤗🌹🤗
