Good Morning!!
Look who came for breakfast yesterday!!
A Two-Toed Tree Sloth Climbed in To Say “Hi”
Weighing in at about 20 pound, usually staying in the tops
of the trees, he climbed down for a quick visit, before he went back
to his natural habitat:)
A very rare appearance in our backyard! We are more used to seeing the 5-clawed
Indoor Albino Rug Sloth in our Home:):)

what a blessing was given to you! 🙏🏼 take all the time you need; no hurry, no worry. 🙏🏼 no need to rush forward into activity; contemplation will get you there gracefully.🙏🏼
so actually you are offering us a “contact blessing”, just as the old days brought “contact highs” 😎🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼 wonderful!!🤗🦋🎈
I love that comparison J.!! Yes a “Contact Blessing” Perfect!! It truly was a blessing and a gift and as you say, Mr. Sloth in his slow -mo graceful swing through life, can teach us so much:) I thought of your spider visitor and now, my sloth guest…He just stayed low to the ground a short while..but he was definitely observing us..as we were observing him…Another Inter species Close Encounter of the Natural Kind:):) A Blessing indeed!!❤️🤗🌹🦋🕷🐻🙏🎈
“… the 5-clawed Indoor Albino Rug Sloth…”
Grateful for your visitor and the giant smile!
Big smiles Linda.. glad you enjoyed the visit too:):)
Wow 😮 That’s so cool.
Thanks Jay…we were all very happily surprised…Such gentle animals:)
Haha I love this! What a strange slow beautiful visitor. And your five-toed indoor one is adorable too. 😸
Haha yes..both quite rare in their own right:) Thank you Dale for appreciating the beauty of inter-species contact:) We wiil plant some of his favorite trees for leaf eating..Guarumos
I loved your early morning visitor. Illustrious indeed! And blessings too.😊🤗💐🙏
Awww thank you Kaushal…Yes he brought blessings to our home:): 🤗❤️🦋🌼
Oh whoa, you were lucky to have such an adorable visitor, and are very luck to have an even fluffier kitty.
Thanks so much Joyce…it most surely was our lucky day. Mr. Sloth is at the moment sound asleep in a ball in the top of a cedar tree in our yard. We hope he stays with us…lots of trees to climb here:) Haha..yes our furry rug sloth is very loved too:)
Awww, that’s wonderful. Maybe he just loves having you as a neighbor. ^_^
I’m hoping we will be neighbors for a long time:):)
I hope so too. Then you can share more stories about your sweet interactions. ^_^
I’ve long wondered what these things do when a predator arrives… do they have 2nd gear? 🙂 Great little slice of nature.
Thank you for commenting..They have few natural predators..maybe, jaguars and big cats and Eagles will try to prey on the young, but a full grown sloth, even if he slowly embeds his 5 inch claws into an enemy, is respected. Their greatest survival tactic is their slow movements and their camouflage techniques.
This is such a cute video! I want to apologize to you, Karima, for the comments that a couple of people on WordPress made to you on one of my posts. The woman had some valid questions and concerns, but the man was just outright cruel, and I told him so. Please don’t stop visiting because of a couple of bozos.
Thanks so much Dawn..and about the other…don’t worry. I put myself out there for negative comments for being honest about my feelings on the subject. Believe me I have read and heard worse:):)
And I’m sorry for that! You are such a beautiful soul! Thank you, Karima.
Thank you Dawn, 🤗
I have never seen a creature which such a great smile!
Haha yes! They are truly adorable, gentle creatures:) Thank you!🦋
Oh wow, how lovely…the slo-mo visitor & the 5-toed fluffy cat ❤️
Haha , yes, Navin..we are lucky to have an eclectic variety of animal friends.. So glad you enjoyed it:)
I very much did, Karima 💫
That’s the coolest video ever, Karima. They move so gracefully and gently. Awesome. ❤️🤗🌳
Sorry Jeff, didn’t see your wonderful comment until today..when I posted a sad update about our sweet friend.
