Mariachis for The Dead
That crimson river that calls to us
but only we can hear..
the night of the dead
and we are the dead
come back to life
for just one night
we hear the call
and crawl out of our tombs
mariachis are the sign
as we walk & fly to join the others
And the blood flows like wine
We are the revealers of the night
The victims are the banquet
where we will feast
We find our own kind
and lose ourselves
to the music, to the beat
Who says the dead
don’t know how to have fun
In our own way we mesmerize
each other without even trying

Light on our feet and swift in the kill
we abandon ourselves to this night
frightening beauty our hair glows, our eyes shine

Wooo love the Hallowe’en energy. This music (and words, and images) are going to be stuck in my head now. 🙂 The phrase “Mariachis for the Dead” would never have occurred to me!
