A small forward…
I am a practicing Muslim..I have been for 25 years but before that I was a converted Catholic and when my father was alive (I was 11 at his death) I was Jewish. I have the curious blessing of living the 3 Abrahamic religions in order:)
It has given me a unique perspective and for me,
we all worship the same God just in different ways.
I have always been attracted to gospel music and blue grass music and the music we played here in the countryside of Costa Rica, was so similar.
I heard this song last night in the credits and found it on YouTube.
I just loved it at first listen… I think it speaks for everyone who believes we are not alone on this planet…. and prayers are heard.
I will recite my poem (with all respect) to the music of the Moondoggies called
“Jesus on the Mainline”
I hope you will enjoy it.

River of Peace
Floating on that river of peace,
feeling every  tributary

Hi everyone,
Projects like this are why I disappear now and then:) but I’m back and thrilled to share my latest YouTube with you all:)

Time Flies is my latest original poem and music.
Please Watch in 4K, Full Screen and Sound nice and high!!
It was shot on my home sim, LINC Island in Second Life.
I found this flying clock at a train station depot in Second Life and KNEW it could be something:):)

Thanks to the great artists of the early days there (SL) My dear friend Scottius Polke, Bishuz Decker (my first heartbreak:)  and Lash Xevious of the never to be forgotten Island “La Reve”

Here is the poem for those who would like to translate it.. Music was made in Garage Band and absolutely no AI used in this film in anyway.

Time Flies

I’m coming throoooouuugh!!!
Outa my way.
I gotta keep moving
I can’t stay.

Enjoy the good times
because the bad ones
are on their way

Oh I know…they’re coming
I see the signs everyday.
You know what keeps me wound?
I move around.
I’m too sweet to lose the beat
I’m  always right on time.

If I had legs
I’d run in style
a four- legged wind rider
eating up the miles
I’d be running so fast
today would  be tomorrow
in the blink of an eye
and this very minute
would  be in the past.

Enjoy every minute
that can be found
because the good ones
just like the bad ’
keep on cycling
round & round.

It’s like I grew wings
when you were tucked in tight
and now it all goes faster
day into night
See the truth
with your own eyes

It’s so mechanical Time
I’m on overwind…
the past & the future
it’s all in my mind….
Just make hay when the sun shines.

I once went out
in the universe
Time has no meaning out there
you see…
that’s what they explained to me
and they said I don’t belong
Speed goes there all the time
but he never takes me along.

I was in the beginning
and I’ll be at the end
I ticked thru Alpha
tocked to Omega
whatever comes next
you better believe it
I’ll be there to get it

I kept time
when Eve
danced with the snake
I echoed her heartbeats
I witnessed the truth of
every scene.
Then years go by
and history paints
a brand new story
a bedtime tale
to put you all to sleep

Time runs away
with your life
and before you know it
Time’s up!

I’m being serious now
even I feel my beat’s getting faster
the days growing shorter
and I’m the Time Master!!

You Don’t Fool Me!

Look at you!!

Wearing sheepskins over your scales!

Our human race is shrinking daily

not much left,

after being force-fed fake news

lies after lies that only nourish our fears,

our xenophobia, our bigotry and intolerance.

You ask us to watch an ongoing genocide, with our eyes wide open and our

mouths gagged and our free speech trampled to the ground!

What part of human can be left

inside those running the show?

The Power in the shadows,

whose attention span,

only  focuses on getting rich,

making the poorer sicker,

less educated,

therefore less dangerous….

Who walk around upright,

on two legs,

pretending to be the leaders of

the human race,

but what I see is…

a heartless evil,

masquerading as the world’s heads of state,

with only a coating

of humanity, thinly applied…

How easily it rubs off and is forgotten, 

when an ambitious palm, greases another.

Still human you say?

You don’t fool me!

A Designer’s Legacy: From Paper to Pixels

I’m proud and pleased to share a 13 min video, that totally documents the miracle, that my dear friend and family member for 35 years, Gino, posthumously(He passed in 2020) realized this last Saturday. As I say on YouTube:

This is a labor of love for a great friend and designer, Gino, who passed away in 2020. Through the magic of virtual worlds, his many drawings and sketches he left behind now walk the catwalk one last time on Kitely Virtual Worlds, thanks to Kimm Starr of Virtual Vignette and her System, Animaster, Animated Animesh Control System. Even Gino, comes back to take a bow. The Animaster can be found on The Kitely Market. Special thanks to Koshari Mahana & Cooper Swizzle for modeling and lending their likeness.. To Rosa Alekseev for the Fabulous Party Music and to my dear friend, James Ottobre and Gino’s creative partner, for sharing his pictures and memories and for giving Gino his first break into fashion in his boutique.

Mother’s Day…Continuity

my daughter is in Brasil for her work and it is Mother’s Day there….so
I was inspired to make this little image showing our family’s continuity…..

An Invitation to Gino’s Fashion Show & Party!!

Hi everyone,.. I am so excited to share three invitation styles to our upcoming Smash Virtual Event on Saturday, May 17th at 1pm pst.
It’s a reality!! Thanks to Kimm Starr (who made the invitations too) and Virtual Vignette & Animaster, we are bringing Gino back to lead a fabulous fashion show (catwalk & all) and party afterwards, on my world, “Gino’s Butterfly” As she says, “through love, community, and technology” this is actually possible. Gino’s legacy will live on and on.
If it’s true everyone who knew him in Real Life, loved him, well now hundreds and hundreds in the virtual life will  meet and love him too:)
I am serious, anyone who has a computer and would like to make an avatar and attend (It will cost you 0:) I will walk you through the steps on what you need to do:)
I am SOOOOOO Excited about this!!! Truly a dream come true!
Gino’s sketches will come to life, walk the catwalk entertain & delight!!

Shinamatoon: “Pink Again”

OK.. here is something for all of you that think You have problems:)
Pure escapism..something that in small doses feels really good about now.
Little Ellie Elephant has lost her color and is now tan when, she all her life, was pink. That’s the sweet silly plot. To my original music (No AI used in this film) created on Garage Band, I invite you to see my first “Shinamatoon” a Machinima using cute cartoon avatars… avatars shot in a virtual world, no animation used. The video was filmed on Kitely Virtual Worlds on “Between The Night and Nowhere” built by Natascha Randt & me, scripts by Dale Innis. Chroma Key (Greenscreen) was done in Second life on LINC Island, A big special Thank-You to my Pisces Sisters: DzinWiz Babbii & Suzanne Moonintoog for joining me to play this little  tight-knit threesome.

A White-Winged Angel

A white-winged angel slips thru the trees
“Come for me  please come for me”
“You took my daddy away in his sleep
now please take me, now take me.”

At eleven we still don’t know too much…
We look to our parents to fill in the blanks
but when the father dies and the mother goes mute
We read Edgar Allan Poe until we think we know.

Here in Costa Rica, tomorrow is a solemn day…
Few people drive their cars, all industry shuts down
A quiet like before Time pervades through Nature’s  scene
and just breathing is a meditation on life and death.
Just sitting in the quiet is like a waking dream

My beloved Maki, my cat of destiny was killed on Good Friday
in March last year, with all my family here, I could not cry.
I was so in shock, my eyes stayed dry, and forever more
they refuse to cry, I took the pain of his loss, burying it deep inside.

A white-winged angel slips thru the trees
“Come for me  please come for me”
“You took my loving Maki away from me
now please take me, now take me.”

My father passed away the 18th of April, sixty-seven  years today
and yet that preteen trauma is embedded in my memory
It forged my life, from an early age; it changed me..
and I am who I am, a poet since that time,
who still looks at life and many times just asks why?
