Hi everyone,
it seems I just keep insisting with these YouTubes of my virtual worlds.. and I know, for many it’s not your “cup of tea” on a, primarily, blog for poetry, but what I can I say?  Virtual videos, Machinima, is a way of  creating visual poetry, just not using words sometimes.. This is one of those and I hope you will be intrigued by the concept.
As I say on the World Page “Welcome to” In Your Head”…a trip inside two sides of the same sim-wide head. Jump on the tour and enjoy spiraling DNA, thoughts of love and ordered boxes, Sushi and strange rooms and smells of chocolate chip cookies and the color of analysis. Your creators, Karima Hoisan  and Dale Innis, hope you will savor your ride, while you fly and bump through our minds. As in all my worlds, please have media set to play at all times(music plays on media) and region default settings for water and lighting.  This world was one of the first Dale & I did together, back in 2014, right after we made The Hudson Line.
For those of you just viewing the YouTube..Watch it on a large screen if you can and in 4K…It’s made with high resolution to look nice on your big flat -screen TVs:):)

This is one of our silliest worlds and therefore movies:) 

The Hudson line is a collaborative creation by poet Karima Hoisan and scripter Dale Innis.
It is one of the early worlds of mine, built in 2014 and very much in a primitive, retro-prim style:)
Based loosely and surrealistically off of a train line from Tarrytown New York to Manhattan, it is a fanciful flight of fancy at every station.
After your ride feel free to explore and find the many cozy places: Climb the fire-tower, dance salsa at the Spanish Harlem Club, fish near the pilings..make a picnic in the woods..

Enjoy your ride and don’t forget to stand when you get to the End of the Line:)

In The Night of My Calling

In the night of my calling.
I only pretended to be awake.
Something deep inside me
that has never awakened
kept holding me down
at the bottom of my sleep.

It was a safe still bed
below the silver shining veil
I had no need to breathe or speak.
I was not in a form
that required maintenance
or anything much of me.

It came like a rumble
this calling that reached me.
It begged to be let in
to be welcomed
to brush its hair
and give thanks
to dry the tears
to look a stranger in the eye
touch them and say,
“I’m so glad you’re finally here.”

I felt almost human and seen
tears ran down my face;
they pumped through my veins
Every single suffering person
in the whole world
knocked on my door
at the same moment
saying “We can’t any longer”

And I let them in.
I let them into my heart
for as long as I could hold them.
Then they stopped their crying
and in that moment
they felt totally safe;
they were totally safe.
They were here, then they were gone.
And I felt a great emptiness inside…

Because, now there was no doubt…
I was totally wide awake.

Hi Everyone,
I have a special YouTube to share of another of my favorite worlds we have built.
It is set in a fantasy-quasi Philippine countryside (in my wild imagination:) and has two very important elements that star. …plus a spoken word poem of mine.
First of all…..
All the Art.. ALL of the paintings that you see, even some land textures, are by one inspired artist, Markus Akesson from Sweden. I was introduced to him, when I looked for an image for my poem, Insomnia https://karimahoisan.wordpress.com/2019/02/01/insomnia/ After that, I fell in love with almost everything he has painted, and tried to create spaces here to exhibit his outstanding talent in a unique way. Hi all,
I know I keep insisting with these YouTubes and I notice a big dip in readership, but building
virtual worlds is very much a part of me, just like poetry is,
And…the 2nd and last part of Creation, has a recorded poem at the end too for poetry lovers;)  but really I think if you give it a chance you might enjoy seeing our virtual worlds, as if you were there.
Disclaimer: This world has been called very psychedelic,
so after watching this 2nd part, the use of heavy machinery, or driving is not recommended 🤡
Maybe just lie down and take a nap afterwards:)

I am excited to share this 1st part of another YouTube of a second world build  on Kitely Virtual Worlds, Dale Innis and I collaborated on.

I was in Jordan in the summer of 2018 and I had a dream.
I was talking to someone and I told them I had just started
a new world on Kitely (I hadn’t really) and that it was called,
“Creation”
When I awoke and thought about it…this is what came into my head:

“From the Nebula in our minds comes intuitive Art…
Our Big Bang is in silence..just a drawing inward then a moving outward that begins to paint the landscapes of our dreams
The drawing inward is not controlled by us..rather, it takes control of us and commands our thoughtless attention. Watch it and it will grow, stay without words and it will pulse and begin to move towards us, growing bigger and filling the screen behind our eyelids..If we do not pull back..it will engulf us..and if we are brave, if we are lucky, inspire us and then intuitive Art is a possibility, the secondary effect of letting go….
That surrender is music to the ears of our muse..and she might pay us a visit. What is our muse if not our intuition, our very own intuition that somehow has been separated from us, as we grow up, so that we perceive it as a separate entity, a magical force, at times in human form, that whispers in our ears and gives us ideas, the perfect words, and drives us beyond our own human limitations, making artists of us all, those willing to hear its voice and just do what it tells us, we’re capable of doing. There is no such thing as a negative muse..a muse is always a driving, powerful, and positive force, for those of us, lucky enough to have discovered it and been touched by it.”

You Make The Magic

The magic of shape and color and shades of light
of textures so darkly smooth, and so sharply bright
Roll off my retinas until I almost faint and fall into bloom
I didn’t think I’d find all of this in my glorious sunny room.

What sorcery of love or bewitched ways await?
I’m caught in your bright lights awaiting my fate.
But your colors call me, your stained glass & wire
Your remarkable talent is perfume that sets me afire.

The stars are everywhere, stars & moons, ethereal tunes
The incense, burns, the candles flicker, the singer croons
I am sitting cross-legged on a pile of pillows, rolling tapestries
If I close my eyes, this light show grows and takes away my realities.

When I open them, the leafless tress beckon me to help them leaf
They know more than I, so I dance in their bare arms, feeling their grief
But you wave your hands around us and it is Spring and we all rebirth
It is any time you choose it to be, my Wizard, My Magician my Beloved Earth.

The Wizard Pt. 3 Final Part

Hi everyone,

I’d like to invite you all to the last part of our virtual tour on,
“The Wizard” on Kitely Virtual worlds.
As I say on YouTube:
“The Wizard is on Kitely Virtual Worlds, in Opensim, created by Karima Hoisan & Dale Innis. This is the 3rd and final part. I was trying to capture the whole world in 3 sections. The actual tour takes 30 minutes and it is automatic. This 3rd part rewards you for all your hardships and presents a particle show and original poem by Karima. Kurk Mumfuzz created the various particles you see and Dale Innis & I choreographed an automatic show that begins playing as soon as you enter. The walls, floors and ceiling are textured in parcel media texturing.
You remain under The Wizard’s power until you stand up at the very end. This is not meant to be great machinima, just capturing on film one of our worlds. *footnote my Space Navigator (3D Mouse) skills need polishing…sorry if you feel like a weaving drunk was behind the camera…I hope to get better:):) In the second & third part, I think they are improving a bit:). Enjoy!!

The Wizard Part 2

This is the 2nd part of my virtual world on Kitely called “The Wizard”It is unlisted but you are free to share it. I am not making it public as the camera skills are still in process:) This is what I say in the YouTube blurb.:

“The Wizard is a virtual world on Kitely Virtual Worlds, created by Karima Hoisan & Dale Innis. This is the 2nd part of a 3 part video, attempting to capture the whole world in 3 sections. The actual tour takes 30 minutes and it is automatic. This 2nd part trades your horse for a boat, dancing, hanging, hovering.., you are totally under The Wizard’s power until you stand up at the very end. This is not meant to be great machinima, just capturing on film one of our worlds. *footnote my space navigator (3D Mouse) skills need polishing…sorry if you feel like a weaving drunk was behind the camera…I hope to improve:):) In this second part, I think there is a little better stability. Enjoy in Fullscreen and HD! All the sounds you hear are on the world when you travel through.
I hope to have the last part over the weekend:)

Taking Flight

Taking Flight

I’m flying so much better than I did before
No matter how hard I really flapped my wings
I could not rise above the heads of my guests
And now I soar over rooftops and see too much.

I night-fly with moon high or with a pitch black sky
When the town below is sound asleep; I glide by
The upper windows where the people cry & cry
I linger there, shed some tears and then away I fly.

People make up stories now about the change in me.
They buy their sweets, whispering about me in the bakery
Some say I am a stalking soul, I am evil and I steal gold
Actually I have compassion, but I’m just lonely, truth be told.

I never asked for this gift of flight, it came to me one night,
While I was crying in my upstairs room, I fell asleep into a swoon
All night in dreams, I learned to fly, not too high, not in the sky,
Through the rooms, cruising waist high, but when I awoke, I still could fly.

And the next day and the week after that and now it’s part of me.
I’ve learned to not talk about it much, for envy and fear and such.
I am progressing rapidly in my patterns, altitude and flying skills…
Today, I could just fly away as no one makes me feel that I should stay.
